Don’t know if the money is worth that sort of beating. Diaz looks tired and old.

Despite the olds fighting, this was still far more interesting than what the UFC offered up.

Holloway Vs McGregor announced. I think it's a very dangerous fight to give Conor considering his inactivity and lifestyle in recent years.

In terms of event and depth I guess yes, but Arnold Vs Melky Costa was much more intriguing given the far superior level of skill.

Ngannou was the only particularly interesting fight to me considering he's still one of the best in the world although it was a forgone conclusion (also wanted to see what Parnasse looked like).

Main event was always going to be a farce and co-main whilst full of action like watching two pissheads swing outside Yates'. Diaz is a complete bum and people really need to stop giving his constant shit talking any attention. Dude is 41 going on 14, it's beyond cringe at this point.

I think its a smart fight for him to take, if he is determined to come back. He won't win but Holloway isn't a massive power puncher who'll do serious damage to him and hes very hittable too.

I just hope Holloway kicks the living shit out of him and ends his career permanently. That’s the only good outcome here.

Because Holloway doesn’t have concussive one-punch knockout power, I can see a sustained beating for Conor.

I’m thinking like the Kattar Holloway fight.

Plus, they’re at opposite ends of the spectrum for cardio.

It could easily be Conor wobbling round the ring getting pieced up for 25 mins.

Curiosity though, what weight is this at? Can Conor even make 155 anymore and Max is way too small for 170?

At 170. Holloway will be fine - he just won’t cut at all. I think he walks around at 185-190 he’s said.

Be interesting - Conor has the puncher’s chance through 2 rounds I reckon but 3-5 could be a Kattar-esque piecing up on the feet by Max. I am expecting to see a Welterweight record for strikes landed - Colby Covington has it vs Lawler with 159

With McGregor’s inactivity you would expect Holloway to just destroy him in a one-sided mismatch…

The only element of doubt I have is because Max didn’t look good against Oliveira on the feet. Oliveira was catching and hurting him quite easily.

The Ronda/Carano fight went EXACTLY how everyone imagined. No wonder Carano was all smiles at the end. Easiest pay day of her life

Fun night of fights tbf but none of them outside of Ngannou would stand a chance against any top legit fighters. Still a good watch.

Strange feeling that McGregor might beat Holloway too. All comes down to how he performs after such a long layoff but I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion like people think.

Yeah. Apparently McTappo gave them an ultimatum.
I don't think it will be a good fight at all unfortunately. McGregor may look decent for a round due to his high level striking but the inactivity and cardio issues will catch up with him. I think Holloway will start to pick him apart as the fight progresses. As much as people hate McGregor it'll be quite sad to see a washed up version of himself against a killer like Max IMO.

You're probably right. If McGregor can't KO him within the first round, Max will pick him apart. Though Max never fought at 170 before.

Honestly i never liked McGregor, so i won't be sad to see it get beaten up.

Max is a volume punching cardio machine, he's relentless over 5 rounds so doesn't a 3 rounder logically mean he can go hell for leather from the off? He was dogshit against Charles but he doesn't have to worry about takedowns and grappling at all against Conor. He has looked a bit more vulnerable chin wise in and since the Gaethje fight but being knocked out by Ilia is a special case, it happens to everyone. Honestly given Conor's age, inactivity and lifestyle choices as well as the fact his gas tank has always been his most notable weakness even in his prime, Max is surely one of the worst options for his comeback fight, no? Just beat Chandler up ffs.

Fair to mention that even though he doesn't have a big frame, he was KO'd by Topuria at 145. Think the weight cut always took too much of him.

It will never be sad to see such a vile scrote get beaten up. I just hope the ref gives him no protection at all.

Yeah that too. Often looked like a crackhead zombie at weigh ins, especially when he had longer hair.

He didn't bulk properly for the first Poirier LW fight, and it showed. Physically looked in great condition against Gaethje but like you say, the weight cut was worse going back down against Ilia. Most recent Poirier fight was just a retirement mismatch but then Charles manhandled him like he didn't belong in the weight class. He's one of the greatest FW's of all time, he looks suited to LW physically and I think he can beat any striker there but someone like Charles is his kryptonite. Rock paper scissors.

The Conor fight is at welterweight isn't it? I have him as favourite anyway but it'll be interesting to see if he prepares his body properly or goes the route of the first Poirier fight at LW.
