The next 12 games before City

We had a winning streak, today is the start of the losing streak.

Next 3 games. Palace away, West Ham home, Wolves away.

2 draws and a loss.

When is Africa Cup starting? I dread to think of what we do without Amad and Mbeumo
Mbeumo yes, Amad gets treated very lenienently, Garnacho both scored more and created more than Amad, yes Amad has good moments but is an average player.

Garnacho was just foolish off the pitch

We really have to get 7 points out of those 3 games. Palace are draw experts, Wolves are doomed and West Ham aint much better. Anything less than 7 points wil be alarming

We could feasibly not win any of those 3. Palace too strong and fast. Hammers on the up right now. Wolves very capable of getting a result.

Lose all 3 and I think Amorim is properly under the cosh.

I frankly do not give a feck about Garnacho he isn't playing for us

We need unexpected wins to make up for unexpected defeats. A draw or loss to Palace wasn't the end of the world if we had beat Everton, because frankly I never expect any win in an away game anyway, not least against a decent side. But now anything other than a win is a problem, it would be 0 wins in 4 if we don't beat Palace.

We had a run of 5 fixtures that were winnable - Everton home, Palace away, West Ham home, Wolves away, Bournemouth home. We really needed to win at least 4 out of 5 because we have AFCON right after where we're bound to drop points because of loss of our best attacking players, and we'll have tougher games on paper to contend with.

We need points on the board now to make up for the points we'll inevitably drop later, and we've failed at the first hurdle against 10 man Everton at home.

The next 5 are really about as kind a 5 game run as you're realistically going to get.

Everton home, Palace away, West Ham home, Wolves away, Bournemouth home.

It's 3 home games and 2 away, which is important because we're dreadful away. One of those away games is against the team bottom of the league so it could be a rare away game we're favoured to win. We play none of the sides expected to challenge for CL spots in this 5 game run.

Have to go win 4 out of 5 here. Home games are now absolute must-wins because we've established we cannot be expected to win away games.
I guess we're still on for 4 wins out of 5 then.

I think most people would have expected a win against Everton and dropped points against Palace - we've just swapped those results around.

West Ham, Wolves and Bournemouth are now must wins though because after those we lose Amad and Mbeumo to AFCON, and we have tougher games on paper.

We need points on the board now to make up for the inevitable dropped points later.

All three winnable if we play with the same tempo and intensity we played in second half

You would hope we get Cunha back soon too as an additional option.

Issue of course is we don't know which utd will turn up but I'm hoping we see consistency with the backline (maz starting before he goes and a break for Yoro / Martinez to get minutes too)

8 out of 15 from the first 5 games. The Everton defeat hurts, If we'd won that, we'd be even on points with third place.

I'd like to think the next 3 games are winnable, but we really lack the consistency to do so.

Yep we're fecked.

1 point against Everton and West Ham at home. We're in the middle of the kindest 5 game run we're going to get and we've won 1 out of 3 so far.

Once Mbeumo, Amad and Maz leave for AFCON and the tougher games start this place is going to be on fire.
