The Overlap | Ashley Cole: Arsenal to Chelsea, Wenger Relationship & Management Future | Stick to Football EP 104

I think if Sir Alex was going to go on he'd have done it by now.

He made a brief cameo on a Rio podcast with Carrick, and said something along the lines of don't put me on that fecking podcast.
Wasn’t he coincidentally there? Being as loud as he could in the background.

Tony Adams would be a great guest.

It does feel like, more often than not, who's in Neville's phonebook though.

Warnock, Pulis, Redknapp and Pardew please. I need to listen to the great minds of the game !

If they manage to get Monkweh, might as well close the channel as there's absolutely no topping that

Came across surprisingly well. Disagree with him on loads of stuff (or maybe more with Carragher?) but still thought he seemed pretty clued in.

I agree with Wrighty. The Sterling news articles at the time proved it - the way the British media paints out British black men who are materially successful is disgusting. The same as when you compare articles about Meghan and Kate

I think Wrighty is spot on.

While it can be fairly interesting, it feels a bit out of touch for a bunch of multimillionaires to spend weeks droning on about who earned more millions per year.

During a cost of living crisis. Maybe 1 segment on the 1 episode would have been enough.

He'll be in Melbourne for Christmas so there's some respite coming in about 5 weeks.
Don't think he is now, he mentioned a few weeks ago that Sky blocked him from taking the time off because of their busy schedule.

It's a tricky one. I completely get what he's saying and do think that the media have fuelled this situation and amplified it far greater than it should be or is by twisting and lying about certain things, particularly the Daily Mail, but on the other side I have seen in games the petulant and attitude-y side to Bellingham and I thought those stories about his father and brother were confirmed to be true. I understand that the attitude on the pitch from Bellingham stems from him wanting to win and Rooney definitely had that side to him, but I don't see Bellingham as indispensable to England as Rooney was.

I don't watch it regularly but I found it quite interesting insight. Not many have Neville's mentality these days and rightly so, he could been a one club player but earned a lot more if he had an agent or if he even bothered to negotiate himself or get a little bit of advice/research.

England NT footballers always have a target on their back, nobody got hated on worse than Beckham after WC 98. The papers might not accept a black superstar but I think the people would. Rashford was almost it.
