I was watching a Sky Sports review of the 2008/09 season last night and a few players featured that I'd completely forgot about.

One of them being Aliadiere - he seemed quite a promising young player at Arsenal but (like so many of Wagner's youth) didn't quite cut the mustard.

He was playing for Middlesbrough last I heard - he scored a goal against the Arse that season as well.

What other players do you remember who seemed to have completely fallen off the radar?

'2010–11 pre-season found Aliadière training with West Ham with a view to a permanent move to the London club. The deal fell through when he damaged his knee ligaments playing in a reserve game against Crystal Palace'. That's basically the story of his career one injury after another.

Hard to say he fell off the radar, he was pretty old when he joined Middlesbrough and then retired. Tremendous player back in Spain, even scored a screamer against us i remember in that 4-1 game for Middlesbrough.
From one of the best in the world to playing for Boro'.He brutally fell of the radar, I personally stopped following his career when he joined them

Kouroux meant "from being one of the best players in the world", not Lazio (I think?)

Was brilliant for Udinese in the late 90's then had big money moves to Parma and then Dortmund but then went off the radar. Spells at Milan and a number of clubs in Brazil confirmed his downward spiral.
