Drew/Cody tonight

I hope it ends in shenanigans leading to a fatal four way at mania but I think they're pivoting, and doing Drew/Jacob and Cody/Orton. Neither match gets me excited.

I reckon they've built to Sami interfering and costing Cody, leading to Sami/Cody at Mania.

It’d suck if Drew got ripped from the title scene this close to Mania. You may well be right though!

And then you have a triple threat. Id prefer this road and tbf, whats Sami doing this mania season?

Must say, overall this is the least excited I've been for a mania for years.

It's a weird one

Cody/Orton as a one on one has a good story to tell. And makes sense especially if you have drew/Jacob
But that would mean drew losing the title and being out of the title match at mania where he deserves it.

But multi man matches especially for top titles are hardly memorable. Would have to be night one main event though right?

Do think Orton winning it from drew in a one on one makes sense but there's hardly been anything between them two as a build also.

They should have had drew win the title earlier than he did (wrestlepalooza?)
Would have given him a longer reign especially if he drops it soon.

Sami has to be involved cos his story has been with Cody, drew and recently Jacob.

And Orton has been involved with Aliester

Cody, Drew, Randy, Jacob. Add in Zane, Alister Black and white we're at it, Carmello Hayes, Trick Williams, Miz, Jhevon, Brock and Knight.

Andre the giant battle royale for the title.

If Cody wins and it ends up Orton 1v1.... you can't claim Road Dogg was sacked for his storytelling. 4 faces as your two 1v1 title matches.... promos are gonna feel identical.

Everything points to this being at least a Fatal 4 Way, Aldis is at breaking point in character, and will announce it after they all feck up his main event. And I think I've already said, he needs to callback to those RKO's as to why he's doing it to Orton as well as the others all interfering with each other and Drew being a menace on his show.

I like Cody but you can see why fans get pissed off at these bookings. Loses Elimination Chamber one week now back in the main event. Why not carry on with Drew v Orton. Now we have 4 baby faces in the main event and it’s really harsh on Drew.

I still think Drew will be involved somehow.

Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton is a pretty good match for the championship at WM, though I’d prefer one of them to be a heel going into this considering we’ve already got Punk vs Roman. I expect Randy to win the belt and I actually think it will end Cody’s championship chasing/reigning run, at least for most of the year.

Cody v Randy is a good match but how they got there was shit. Drew was done dirty for sure. HHH is just making shit up as he goes along.

Meh, Drew was a terrible champion. Everything he did after three stages of hell was shit, this version of Drew can do one. Not sure why they were so determined to make him look weak and scared all the time, he should've been a rampant machine

Not sure that would be a great move for MJF. He's the absolute top dog at AEW, easy to get swallowed in shit booking at WWE
Creativity ebbs and flows in absolutely every company. It wasn't long ago AEW was absolute turd, nor that long ago WWE was flying. If he wants to move and has the chance I think he should.

It's less a comparison of the respective booking and more that he has something really good going right now, which might not be the case after switching

AEW just announced myAEW, essentially WWE network for aew but with the live weekly show.

3 tiersz middle tier 15 quid a month and you get everything. I'll probably go for it tbf, would make watching a lot easier and more accessible

I'd probably go with the third tier of £90 a year as it works out at £180 if doing monthly on the middle tier.

At the top of his game, face of the company before he turns 30, the freedom to play his role as he wants without watering down
I’ve not seen much MJF for quite a while, I used to think he was the dogs bollocks, then his heel shtick seemed to be very samey easy cheap boos (what’s the opposite of a cheap pop? Basically just insult wherever he is).

Has he grown as a character?

I think he's still like that, but I started watching AEW a few months ago, so it's not old for me yet

Cheap heat.

He's very much the same, but he's excellent at it.

On the new AEW app thingy, Are AEW PPVs actually live? It says we get them, but doesn't have live beside it like the ROH PPVs and weekly TV shows?

I am assuming the AEW PPVs aren't live and added after? I am looking at getting the annual plan rather than monthly to save money.

I noticed this too and it's a little sneaky if you're not getting them live.

Why wasn't Roxanne Perez a part of the Judgment Day section? She injured or something? But the segment overall was decent.

The masked man section was embarrassing

I did like the CM Punk bit and also the Penta match.

Yeah, pretty sure it's a back injury but would have to look it up to be sure.

The crowd seemed to love it. Lots of holy shit chants, bit sad to be honest. Made me think I'm past wrestling now

Nah they were chanting Wholly Shit. Surely. It was so bad watching them play musical chairs without the chairs.

Jimmy Uso was really good in the Punk bit, and tbf Jey played his part

Jimmy Uso is actually a lot better than people give him credit for. Obviously as soon as they realise, they'll ask him to be pushed and then bitch and moan when he is.

Jimmy isn't bad at all, he just gets bogged down by association. Not elite by any means, but at least he's capable on the mic. Good segment between him and Punk, who could feud with an empty cupboard

On the mic yeah, in ring he’s not good, he’s fine where he is.
