I hope it isn't health related.

Speculation him and Cody are switching shows.

Cody has been building stuff with Punk and Gunther, who are both Raw, and the Usos, Jacob, Solo, etc. are all Smackdown.

Usos are Raw. People speculating about Punk moving to SmackDown as well, which would make more sense to me. It needs all the help it can get currently while Raw is stacked.

Anyway, hope it's nothing health related for Roman, that was the first thought

I've completely lost track to be honest, but you are right.

Yes, hopefully no health issues. The last I'd read was that he constantly needs treatment/medication, so it can't be easy for him.

Am I missing something? What's the joke?

Arguably the worst thing Hogan ever did was screw up the wrestler's union.

How can you proudly boast record this and record that with your artificially inflated prices, give yourselves 300% payrises and tell the talent they need to cut their salary in half.

I can't put into words the level of feckeries this is.

Interesting thread on SquaredCircle on Reddit about this topic today.

Someone posted a lengthy screed about why unionisation wouldn't work for wrestling because it's a special case.
And got thoroughly deconstructed by everyone who responded.

TKO buying them was awful news. Look how they treat UFC fighters.

I am sure the plan for TKO was selling up to the Saudis. But that looks unlikely with recent news, so I am guessing they are making all these cuts to look as profitable as they can for somebody to buy them. I could see one of the streaming giants being interested in them.

fecking hope so.

Something else to consider, there's been whispers that Discovery don't plan on renewing Dynamite thats gathering a little pace.

Doesn't really look like it has a home to goto as the other networks are either tied or not interested, so looking like YouTube and/or AEW+ until an alternative is found. They'll have to start watching their funds, meaning they probably won't be that viable alternative for talent which they are now, meaning TKO can low ball everybody . Potentially nervy time coming up for wrestling.

Aew needs to be healthy
Never understood weirdos actually celebrating aew not doing well or actively rooting against them.

More places to work is better for the industry, the wrestlers and the fans

Absolutely agree. They make WWE better and vice versa.

Plus AEW doesn't and likely never will be profitable anyway. It's Tony Khan's hobby in itself, so he can run it at a business loss without caring because he loves it. Some billionaires love Yachts and Penthouses... our boy Tony just loves wrestling.

WWE still have a clear eye on AEW and how they can specifically utilise talent too... since they won't release Gargano, despite having absolutely no use for him, knowing full well he'd be outstanding in AEW. And the big news of the week is them going for Roman's chunky packet and not Seths (though some read between the lines and think it was Seth too) - because again, Tony would instantly make Seth his top salary. Dream match galore.

I think it's extremely naive to believe that's sustainable. Especially with Warner being taken over.

The latest on the paycuts is that it was only the middest of midcard talent given the option, and that's how Kofi and Woods came about leaving.

Top names and low carders weren't touched, apparently. The former because they're much harder to replace, the latter because they're already earning so little (relatively speaking).

I can’t lie Lil Yatchy dressed as gingerbread man resurrecting from the dead and getting a huge pop was great
