Anyone watched the 'From Bedrooms to Billions the PlayStation Revolution' documentary? I'm watching it now and it's very good so far.

Haven't seen it but I wrote a short piece about a year ago about Sony's marketing for the PS1. There's lots of interesting stories from those early days.Anyone watched the 'From Bedrooms to Billions the PlayStation Revolution' documentary? I'm watching it now and it's very good so far.

It has a major impact on the ending of the game but that is not exactly obvious if you don't know it. They should have shown that impact. The Radovid quest in Witcher 3 should have had more consequences
The game is a masterpiece, but that one thing was handled terribly.
Like the civil war in Skyrim, a bit of a wasted opportunity. The Radovid quest in Witcher 3 should have had more consequences

I'm jealous, those games were great for a first play through!Started the Uncharted series recently and just finished 2 earlier today.
Having read the last few pages of this thread I recognize some of the encounters people struggled with, the sewer pillars in 1 is probably the only one so far that properly frustrated me. I actually beat Lazarevic second time around and only died the first time because he dropped me in the flames after a QTE.
I probably die in these games as much from launching myself off ledges trying to reach areas I think I can get to as I do to enemies
Looks scary. I think it was jacksepticeye I saw playing it.I'm looking forward to playing Little Hope at the end of the month. I really liked Until Dawn and although Man of Medan was disappointing that was more to do with the story/setting. Hopefully this one is a little more scary.
It's the first time I've done a franchise play through where I've gone from the first game in the series directly through the others. Obviously they're remastered but it's still interesting to see and feel the way the games evolved but also stayed very similar to the point it just feels like you're playing an updated version every 10 to 15 hours.I'm jealous, those games were great for a first play through!
Wasn't uncharted an early PS3 game too? Like someone everyone was looking forward to when PS3 was announced? Don't have anything like that this time around
Playing it on crushing? Enjoy the rest.Started the Uncharted series recently and just finished 2 earlier today.

Yeah, haven't found it too bad so far but I'd say 1 was harder than 2 though that might just be because the combat doesn't feel as clunky in 2, plus there seemed to be more 1 shot weapons readily available in 2 so you could deal with waves of enemies pretty quickly.Playing it on crushing? Enjoy the rest.
They're the guys that got loads of flack for saying the next gen update only comes with the Ultimate version, and the Ultimate version wasn't even out yet.Did many people here play Control? I picked it up on a whim the other week and it's surprisingly really fun. It's basically a third-person metroidvania with a weird and wacky story and with lots of pretty looking interiors. Difficulty is spot on - not too easy; not too hard. Though I'm bossing it now I've done most of the side missions and picked up all the good loot.
I played through it and thought it was decent but not more than that. I struggled to care about the story or any of the characters. Combat was pretty cool with all the destructible environments.Did many people here play Control? I picked it up on a whim the other week and it's surprisingly really fun. Didn't see that but looking now the Ultimate version looks pretty good - all DLC included. They're the guys that got loads of flack for saying the next gen update only comes with the Ultimate version, and the Ultimate version wasn't even out yet.
The amount of backlash it got must mean it's a decent game.
Yeah I don't care about the story either. Gave it a shot but it never came together - I listen to podcasts while playing it.I played through it and thought it was decent but not more than that. Yeah I got through it yesterday, really cool part. The maze scene with the music was one of the best set pieces I've played in a game recently.
Agreed but I wonder if I'm alone in enjoying these games more than better than more highly-regarded games? The story in Control was batshit. But game was pretty good fun. A solid 7/10
Is it worth it? Thinking of getting the deluxe version as it’s being ps5 optimised! The story in Control was batshit. But game was pretty good fun. A solid 7/10
If you like metroidvania-style games and/or liked Alan Wake then yes. It's not amazing but it's unique and has a satisfying gameplay loop.Is it worth it? Thinking of getting the deluxe version as it’s being ps5 optimised!
Hmmm interesting thank you!If you like metroidvania-style games and/or liked Alan Wake then yes. It's not amazing but it's unique and has a satisfying gameplay loop.
I didn't care for the combat, especially the bow. I know most really enjoy it, but it wasn't for me.Re-playing Horizon Zero Dawn.
I remember it being visually outstanding but I was somewhat indifferent towards the gameplay.
It's nowhere near as good as factorio. It's decent, but only about 10% as engaging.Any of you lads play a PC game called Satisfactory? It's a first person version of the game Factorio with some enhancements.
Update 3 is only a few weeks away
Oh I love it far more than factorio. Far more complex from an engineering and logistics perspective. Went back and tried Factorio afterwards and got frustrated by the clunky interface. It's nowhere near as good as factorio. It's decent, but only about 10% as engaging.
Silly ghost killing me through the damn window!!
