So you're suggesting they are related somehow? Haven't seen either, but this makes me really curious!American Sniper
Biggest pile of shite movie I’ve ever seen. Far worse than Sex and the City 2.

I wanted to guess The Rock.Guess the movie (youtube comment)
They are vaguely related in their shared dehumanizing portrayal of Arabs, and celebration of the very worst aspects of American culture and society. But Sex and the City 2 does not take itself seriously. So you're suggesting they are related somehow? Haven't seen either, but this makes me really curious!

Booooo it's a great film.Dawn Of The Dead
I was told it was the greatest zombie movie ever, but I just don't get it. I liked the anti-consumerism theme, but as a zombie movie it did very little for me. I reckon it's a nice piece of movie history, but it was a pretty 'meh' viewing experience overall.
Hmm I’d give this a 5 at best. Definitely wanted more from it.His House
An immigrant couple from war-torn Sudan seek Asylum in a small British town. Soon they realize that their new home is haunted by evil spirits. I really enjoyed this. Haven't seen the topic of Asylum seekers tackled in horror before and the overall narrative was engaging and shocking in parts. The horror elements felt a bit tacked on and were closer to hokey than scary. Regardless, it was a good film and definitely worth a watch 7.5/10
Lost him? He is not exactly inconfeckingspicuous."We've lost Gorgeous George"
I'm being quite generous on my horror scores. Probably because my wife is pregnant and refuses to watch them at the moment so when I sneak one in, it feels like a drug hitHmm I’d give this a 5 at best. Definitely wanted more from it.
One hell of an ending.Night Moves (1975)
Decent 70s flick with Gene Hackman.
Knight Moves (1992)Night Moves (1975)

Yes, I agree.Pan's Labyrinth (2006)
Magical Realism is bollocks.
So I have finally made a full run over the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe over the course of the last 2 months, skipping only 4 movies. Here's a quick opinion on everyone of them :
Iron Man 2008 : Very fun movie, probably one of the best origin stories for a super hero I have seen. RDJ is an incredible actor with insane charisma on screen it's just fun to watch and listen to him. 8/10.
Thor 2011 : Decent movie, but a little bit forgettable. Could have been done better to be honest, and unfortunately didn't sell me that much on the character. Only a latter movie did, still a fun watch and important for the Avengers 2012 plot. 7/10.
Captain America First Avenger : Mediocre. Didn't like it to be totally honest. America vs Nazi Germany is a topic I can't withstand in any media anymore. It's ridiculous how much it has been consumed. The action scenes were average and the American propaganda in it was honestly a little bit too much. I only started to like Cap as a character starting from the next 2 movies. 6/10
Avengers 2012: Fantastic and epic experience. They did the first assembly absolutely right. 9/10.
Captain America Winter Soldier: Great movie. Well written story, great pacing and action scenes. Between this and the first Iron Man, probably the best solo movies in the series. This is the movie that really sold me on the character. 8/10.
Guardians of Galaxy : That's a movie I can call "stupid fun". Doesn't seem to take itself way too seriously probably till the very end and that would make it unique and fun to watch. Didn't expect to enjoy it that much since I knew jack shite about them from the start but it was a nice surprise. 8/10.
Avengers Age of Ultron : Feel like this movie is way too hated for no reason. I think it's still a very fun ride, just weaker than the first Avengers movie. I do agree with the majority that Widow/Hulk romance wasn't a good idea and they both don't suit each other that much, and the final battle was weaker than 2012 film, but still really enjoyed it and had some great action. Iron Man vs Hulk was fantastic. 8/10.
Ant Man : Very fun. Between this and the first Iron Man movie as well are the best origin story in the series (I seem to mention Iron Man movie a lot). 8/10.
Captain America : Civil War : That was the best thing I have seen from the series up till the the Infinity War. A much more serious tone, a very unique villain, and great twists thrown at the end, I see people talking a lot about coincidence and while I agree there some of them, I think his plan would have worked anyway, the coincidence just made it work faster that's all. Last fight was epic and had a heavy weight on it. Also introducing Black Panther and Spidey. 10/10.
Doctor Strange : Good movie. Just honestly nothing special. 7/10.
Spiderman Homecoming : Second worst in the series from what I have seen for me. Terrible, rushed story, very poorly written villain, uninteresting action, and Spiderman was way too concerned about showing Tony how good he's than doing the right thing. Spiderman suit having an AI was honestly stupid. Tom Halland and RDJ acting was what saved it. Honestly don't understand the high reviews everywhere at all. 6/10.
Black Panther : Very good movie. Just honestly a little bit overrated ? I have seen people talking about how it's political and how it's different..etc. There's nothing political about it, just because it happens in Africa and not America doesn't make it different or political, and the storytelling is pretty much the same Marvel trope., there's a hero, a villain and the hero as usual loses first then win at the end..etc. It's still fun but I honestly think the 9s and 10s are overrating. RIP Chadwick Boseman though. Was fantastic in every single scene he made in MCU in general. 8/10.
Guardians of Galaxy Vol 2 : Much slower and more boring first half than first movie. Much better climax and emotional impact in second half than the first movie. I'll rate both equally but both have different strengths. First movie had better coherent story but second one's climax is way much better and more memorable. 8/10.
Thor Ragnarok: Another movie that I can call "stupid fun". The movie doesn't take itself serious at all and realizes how ridiculous the story is. I laughed a lot several times in it. This is the movie that I really started to like Thor thanks to it. His development from this one throughout Infinity War and Endgame was incredible. 8/10.
Infinity War and Endgame : Both are 10/10 easily. Both have some legendary scenes I'll never forget, ever. I have replayed several scenes from them since I last watched them and I can't get enough of some Endgame scenes. Incredible.
Ant Man and the Wasp : My main problem with this movie is I wasn't interested in the story at all. Not a single scene in it I felt I wanted to know what will happen next. Some enjoyment in some scenes along the ride but totally and completely forgettable. Only post credit scene matters to be honest. 6/10.
Captain Marvel : Good movie. Feels like it's hated way too much because people didn't like the actress or the strong female trope, and I do agree the character itself is really boring ( I honestly hated her more after Endgame) but if we're talking about the movie, it was fun, well at least much more fun than Ant Man and the Wasp. The mystery in the first half and the twist midway were done well. Final battle was a little bit anticlimatic though. 7/10.
Spiderman Far From Home : Definitely much, much better for me than Homecoming. This is a movie I felt it was really about Spidey, unlike Homecoming, and felt like I was reading a Spiderman comic book. The twist was of course predictable for anyone who read any comics for Spiderman but it overall a pretty fun and enjoyable watch. 8/10.
I remember going to the toilet (was desperate for a piss) and I missed the reveal of the bad guy
I hear you about Peter wanting to impress Tony, but Homecoming does have one of my favourite villain 'reveals' ever, and the following car ride is just fantastic as pieces are put together. "Good old Spiderman "
Hah! I was in a relatively busy cinema and there was a sharp intake of breath across the room, caught everyone out.I remember going to the toilet (was desperate for a piss) and I missed the reveal of the bad guy
I actually thought this reveal was way too strong of a coincidence for my liking. Didn't see it coming for sure, but I felt it was one hell of a coincidence this one.

It seems like people love or hate this film. I think I gave it 9/10 and totally loved it. Don't ever think I've seen anyone rate it between 5/10 and 7/10.Pan's Labyrinth (2006)
Meh, a bit boring. The civil war aspect of the movie was much more interesting than the silly fantasy stuff.
I think it’s a great movie made mostly for teenagers. It seems like people love or hate this film. I think I gave it 9/10 and totally loved it. Don't ever think I've seen anyone rate it between 5/10 and 7/10.
5 is being extremely generousGreenland is an end of the world disaster action type movie but you will be sadly disappointed if you expect The Day After Tomorrow level entertaining bollocks. So much more boring than it should have been if not totally terrible. 5/10

Cool - thanks for sharing. I wonder what's up with that Vangelis soundtrack from the first clip. I get that some bits could come from discarded scenes, but Himalaya is a full track from his earlier China album. Vangelis did repurpose things: Memories of Green is in Bladerunner (or at least on the soundtrack) but is originally from his See You Later album. Himalaya does not really fit the mood and sound of the Bladerunner soundtrack though. Maybe it was used as a temp track? Not sure where to put this but for anyone interested here a bunch of blade runner stuff
(This video will mostly likely get taken down soon. So might but worth ripping it from youtube)
Yeah its a weird one, I can't find anything online about a ultra edition soundtrack. It might just be a fan/bootleg of the soundtrack(You haven't already check out the Esper edition of the soundtrack).Cool - thanks for sharing. Agree its very on the noise but I sort of like it(I don't really mind the original dream ending). Although Ford was phoning it in on the voice over, imo its adds something to the decker character who for the most part is pretty bare bones. The voiceover at the end of the second clip is fun; it really adds to the film noir-side of the movie. It does make the genre reference a little on-the-nose though.
I didn't know the Esper edition, but I've read up on it now (link). Quite the project! Not sure how interested I personally would be though. Film music as such is meant to watch with a film; just listening to it without the image and other sounds isn't as interesting. That's why I agree with Vangelis's approach to soundtrack releases: he makes them into albums that work as an album, even if that takes cutting or changing stuff or switching things around. (See also the Conquest of Paradise soundtrack - which I think he turned into a pretty great album. But that might mean nothing to you if you're into Bladerunner but not Vangelis more generally. ) All the same, impressive how much effort they put into this!Yeah its a weird one, I can't find anything online about a ultra edition soundtrack. Actually, phoning it in works great to get just the right film noir mood! Wouldn't be film noir if you'd put anything but monotone tiredness into the voice. (I say this as a big fan of the genre. )Agree its very on the noise but I sort of like it(I don't really mind the original dream ending).
