The right back market

The template is clear - left footed right winger in disguise at RWB. Poor Dalot's days are numbered for no fault of his if we make this type of signing at RWB. Why not just stick Dorgu there or something to paper over the cracks for a season?
The whole point of having a left-footer there is for them to be a threat cutting in to shoot or pass. Dorgu doesn't seem to have either in his locker at all, at least for now.

Yeah certainly not seen enough yet

Fast forward to October and Amorim is sacked after racking up 3/4 losses, new manager hired who favours 4 atb and now all of a sudden, we have Mbeumo, Amad, Roger Fernandes and Mantato all vying for one RW position and Mazraoui is our only RB.

Yeah I'm with you, don't think we should make this signing right now.

He isn’t even good on the left wing. How do you think he is going to perform on the right wing?

He was playing RW at his previous club as far as I know. We tried him a handful of times at RWB, he was bad a few times, positive once if I remember.

Hmmm, Vanderson, looks like he's eaten Anderson:

Hope this is rubbish. Amad is the one player at United who consistently makes it worth watching them and if they're signing a RB/RWB, it's essentially relegating him to the bench or consigning him to the bomb squad.

Options. Competition. Rotation. Injury

I wouldn't say no to a Jaoa Cancelo though - covers multiple positions and would be ideal for the inverted foot LWB in the Amorim system.

What's up with him lately?

It’s likely rubbish but if it was true, it’s more of Mbeumo St, Amad R10 and Sanderson Rwb

Exactly where you expect him to be.. The dessert..

looks like we have a possible new offer in the works for Vanderson who's the right back from Monaco

Prefer us to take a chance on Wesley Franca who earlier this year broke into the Brazil NT (looks like Ancelotti hasn’t included him in his 1st squad which isn’t overly surprising).

Looks like he has more pace and aggression with a similar level of technical ability to Vanderson if you check his YT portfolio. We were linked a few weeks ago but City have been the stronger rumours so far.

Why do some United fans hate competition? We need options in every position no matter how good you are, you stop need competition. No competition makes a player feel relaxed and most times unbothered knowing they will always keep their place even if there stink up the place and also you have to consider injuries.

Look at the best teams in the world, they have about two quality players in each position. Liverpool just won the league and are getting Wirtz, I don’t see Liverpool fans crying over whether Szoboszlai or Mac Allister loses their place.

It's not a hatred of competition - although in the real world, it's not a good idea to unsettle your best players - its simply that on a supposed tight budget, we should be prioritising the signing of midfielders, forwards and a goalkeeper which are the obvious weakpoints in the team now.
