Farewell to the GOAT Lionel Messi who is leaving Villa after five amazing seasons!

During the season i've slowly realised that my squad - while being fairly good ratingwise, is still not at the level where i can be challenging for major trophies, so the only really sensible thing to do was start a rebuild. My two best players in VVD and Messi have now joined the two strongest teams in the league - United and Everton, to push them to even greater heights. Ruben Dias, Pogba, Kimpembe and Greenwood will be joining the hungry Villa with the hope of mounting a more serious title challenge in the future.

Hereford and Fulham are pretty close together in the youth table. My youngest players that were highly rated have done feck all. Sigh. Ah well, signing young players is a lottery.

Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.

Great job with the squad rebuild by the way @Gythio, though feel you might have been able to get a bit more out of MG as he was desperate for Messi (as indicated by wanting to let go of Goatwood).

Thanks! Now let's hope for some nice rises so i don't get relegated next season  I really don't think MG was willing to offer anything more though, he values his players highly, as he should

Also, congrats to Newcastle United. The only team to have three or more major honours, all in the same competition.

Big question now is what will happen first: United to win 40 major honours or any other team to hit 20? City only need 6, but aren't in Division 1 next season so can only win the League Cup/League Shield next season, while Darlington and Everton just need 8.

Manchester City available - good Division 2 side with a nice squad. Season just ended so if you take over, you'll be able to manage at least a full season with them to mould as you wish. They have £150M in the bank.

If interested, post here or PM me.

Decided to skip. Was one player that kinda tempted me but nah. Would need to sell a player or two first anyway.

Draft over. Mansfield one will start Friday morning if there are no takers for them before then.

Something strange happening with City. Two offers got auto accepted even after I took over the club. Now I made a bid for the player and saw right now that it has been withdrawn.

Wtf?

Damo, wasn't Herrera able to control a club even after he'd resigned?
