Dropped 2 points. Should have had locked in 9th place.
Decent season considering.
If had won the dzeko bid probably a nicer finish next season.
8th place in the GD table. Just needed to be more clinical and the game stop robbing me of wins.

Dzeko loves wales too much.

Recouped his transfer fee by finishing 10th too ;)

I'm gonna jump in on this. Can I just take any club without a manager?
Yep. Just let me know which you decide. You'll get a place in the Reading draft as well (you pick a player and pay the cash as mentioned in the bold bit above - FV = Face Value (cash value listed)).

Reading has good players but you don't want to manage them as they're £45M in debt so can't make signings without hindering the squad.

Good time to join as the most recent season has just finished.

Even with my wages I get so much prize money from winning trophies that my finances keep building and got nothing to spend it on as nobody will accept part exchanges from me anymore.

Been trying to exchange a 94, 92 and a 91 for a 92 rated player younger than 25 and nobody will accept

Must be quite a headache to manage that squad and ensure that every one gets enough games to not develop concerns

Has been okay but next season I've got an influx of three more players than normal (Pulisic, Zakaria, Elvedi that I've listed there). I like to use a spreadsheet to keep on top of things, but I remember from a discussion I had with greeny a while back that I might be too stringent on playing time so having players 10%ish below their target rather than over could be okay.

Diogo Leite to Valencia. Congrats @Damien
If true hopefully he gets good playing time. Valencia fans have been talking about bringing in two experienced defenders so doesn't sound good for his chances. Pepe really likes him (I assume from the emoji in the YT video title). Really is criminal how the Porto manager ostracised him as, the few times he played, the Porto fans liked him.

If Malang Sarr gets a move (and plays at CB instead of LB) as well as Konate staying fit, I might have a chance of some good young CBs.

Yeah I know about your use of spreadsheet, you've mentioned it before. Incidentally, I tried to make a spreadsheet to tract the games that each player was getting, just couldnt be arsed after 10 odd games

How does ratings increase work for young players?
There's a schedule that leagues are reviewed in. greeny has been keeping track for a few years. The big five (Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Premier League) are reviewed twice a season - around December and May - while the other leagues are mostly reviewed once. Real life times have different rating 'caps' - which is a rating you won't really see players exceed. For the Championship, the cap is approx 85, for Ligue 1 teams in the bottom half it is around 83-84 while for the other big five leagues you tend to see ratings higher.

If you go to SoccerWiki (SM's player database) and search various teams, you get an idea of what the rating cap for that team is by the highest rated players. There isn't anything firmly in writing for what the rating caps are, but we know they exist and guess what they are.

Young players will increase in rating based on their performances in real life along with that schedule. If the player only plays in the reserve leagues, their rating will stay the same, but if they feature in the UEFA Youth League they do increase slightly but will typically not exceed 80. If they play in their professional league, and often, then their rating will increase above that to a point depending on the quality of the league.

I'll use my player Dario Maresic as an example. He played quite often for Sturm Graz but hit their relative cap of 83 so I wanted him to move to a better league and club with a higher cap. He moved to Stade Reims (which sucks for me as their rating cap is about the same as Sturm) and has barely played since.

@green_smiley is the best for finding young players who explode. He has:
  • Matthis de Ligt - went from 73 to 92 since he bought him for £473k in 2016, now worth £40M
  • Gianluigi Donnarumma - went from 75 to 91 since he bought him for £330k in 2015, now worth £28M
  • Kai Havertz - went from 70 to 91 since he bought him for £380k in 2016, now worth £32M
  • Dayot Upamecano - went from 78 to 90 since he bought him for £4.7M in 2016, now worth £28M
  • Joe Gomez - went from 78 to 90 since he bought him for £1.6M in 2015, now worth £24M
  • Andrew Robertson (not so young) - went from 85 to 93 since he bought him for £5.5M in 2017, now worth £36M
and much more. Even managed to sign Alphonso Davies for a relative steal.
