About 4- 5 seasons ago I had different tactics than what I have now and never changed them due to pretty decent success for a couple seasons and then season 14 they stopped working. No matter what I did I still got relegated.

Since the start of last season when I was in D2 I set my tactics and have not changed them once since match day 1.
Even cup games I shoe horn the players in the system.
Still stuck to them for this season.
We'll see how long it lasts this time.

Our match wasn't even amongst the worst losses, it was still equal stats wise with my team with higher possession. I'm ok losing such games. Most of my other losses have been an absolute piss take though. I'm hoping a +2 for Ederson changes that, lets see. He is the real life Bravo atm.
