Newcastle already have Fatawu 'on hold' for you. Options are for him to sign 2-3 of the others then when their transfer bans expire, part exchange them with a couple of your players in a 2 for 1 deal - so e.g. Fatawu and Dovbyk for one player and Guendouzi and Johnson for another. Other option is to get the 12 months gold discount for £11.99 and just sign the other four yourself.

If people can afford the £12 for a year (£1 a month) I think that’s a better long term solution.

@TheReligion if you've got the cash you can just bid pure cash for those players, though I think you're at squad cap? I can give you a few days to sell the players you want to get rid of if you want first – thanks for getting Gold by the way. You didn't have to but will make things a lot easier with the workaround for others.

I’d budgeted in using the workaround so players going out in the deals but if you can accept the bids cash I’ve made I’ll clear out some space.

No problem mate. Makes it easier.
 
@Damien counter offers from external have messed up the CV bid limit.

Kevin Schade deal is a bit of a mess as a result

Yeah they’ve at least fixed the transfers coming through today but they are making it unnecessarily difficult without much consultation.

Accepted two of them. Will accept the Dovbyk one once you've got rid of one more player as the three would take you to 49 which is just over FFP. If you'd prefer to have Dovbyk and Torres now with them being higher rated rather than Torres and Johnson I'll accept Dovbyk and collapse the Johnson bid.

McAtee's on loan there from another club. Geertruida is fine. Deadline has passed for you unfortunately so you can't pick another to replace McAtee but Geertruida will still be fine.

Alright, situation with counter offers for newly added players: it sounds like the counter offer happens roughly when the bids would normally be accepted (24 hours after initial bid). When the counter offer happens, those clubs who initially bid should withdraw their offers and bid again at the counter offer price – or if the value goes up they bid at the new face value. After this time any other clubs cannot bid (so it is treated the same as if player values go up).

If anyone notices new clubs bidding, please let me know and ask them to withdraw. If they don't withdraw AND they win the player, it'll be treated as FFP violation.

@Damien Sheffield have accepted two counter offers from external without going through the correct new process.

They should have rejected and re bid at 600k like I did but they just accepted the counter.

I know it’s an extra pain for you but this isn’t one that we can just let go as fine.

You bid on both Alves and Torrents, right? Shall I do same approach as with the situation you had with Mani(?) and do a coinflip on them individually?

Really wish the messaging function and interface on SM was so much better. Impossible to display or convene rules, especially to those not on the caf which I don't think Sheffield United is. For now I'm just going to keep bumping up the counter-offer rule message on SM

I was mainly after Torrents so I’m happy enough to do a 50/50 split where he keeps Alves if he’d prefer?

Or we can leave both up to coin chance?

SM really are making everything so difficult. Appreciate everything you’re trying to do with our GW though.

Yeah, it's maddening. I bet if half the people who voted for "improved unmanaged club AI" read the description of what it meant in the September update they would have voted for one of the other two options.
