Hey I’ve applied for QPR in this league. I used to run special custom GWs on Soccer Manager a few years ago that were very well received and saw this and got excited!

I can't quite understand that one.. Ronaldo for Shaw?
*shrugs* my leftback options were so bad.

First team (4231)

de Gea (91)

Rafael (91) Ramos (95) Kompany (94) Aurier (89)
Pogba (91) Bender (91)
Ronaldo (98) Goetze (93) Bale (94)
Messi (99)

Cup team (4231)

de Gea (91)

Zouma (88) Fofana (88) Papa (89) Digne (88)
McCarthy (89) Eriksen (90)
Lacazette (89) Isco (91) Sandro (89)
Balotelli (91)
Overall my squad has improved since then.

de Gea (95)

Kimmich (92) Ramos (95) Boateng (94) Alaba (93)
Pogba (93) Eriksen (93)
Mbappe (92) Kroos (95) Isco (93)
Griezmann (95)

----

de Gea (95)

Roberto (91) Christensen (90) Stones (90) Gaya (90)
Dele (92) Goretzka (91)
Mina (89) Brandt (90) Martial (90)
Sterling (92)

If I kept those players:

de Gea (95)

Rafael (89) Ramos (95) Kompany (91) Aurier (90)
Pogba (93)
Bender (90)
Ronaldo (99) Goetze (91) Bale (94)
Messi (99)

----

de Gea (95)

Zouma (88) Fofana (88) Papa (88) Digne (89)
McCarthy (87) Eriksen (93)
Lacazette (92) Isco (93) Sandro (92)*
Balotelli (90)

Fofana had to retire at the age of 25.
Sandro is now a leftback.

Accepted. Welcome to the league! We have a squad cap restriction so teams can't stock up on players. Yours is 58. We recently had a draft for QPR players but you've still got a few good ones left along with a heck of a lot of cash.

Just noticed that with the assistant manager recruiting loads of old QPR players (33 to be exact), the number of players there has gone up to 65. We'll give you leniency in that your squad size can go up to 85 but at the end of October when the transfer bans expire, try and get your squad to meet the FFP of 58 by selling the players your AM recruited. If by December FFP update (comes out 1st December) you're still over the FFP of 58 then you'll receive a transfer ban in lines with the following:

a) Penalty for FFP violation includes minimum ban of:
  • 1st violation: 1 month
  • 2nd violation: 1 SM season
  • 3rd violation: request to resign

QPR Appoint New Manager
It’s not news to say QPR are a club in turmoil. Lingering in mediocrity in Division 2 with no hopes of promotion this season, many of the talented young players and stars of the club flooded to the exits as the club was left managerless.

Lacking direction the club appeared to be a lost cause with many saying the rebuild was too great a task. The scythe was poised ready to escort QPR to the lower echelons of the football league but as the old cliche goes: cometh the hour, cometh the man.

Benito Compello, an experienced manager who has been managing at the top level since 2005, has taken the reigns and is hoping to steer the club away from the precarious precipice it finds itself on.

When asked if he felt the situation was salvageable:

“It’s a big job, the club and fans know this but that doesn’t mean our situation is terminal. I’ve assessed the squad and I’ve got a great group here already the team is very young and inexperienced so they will need time to develop. In the mean time I’ll be looking to add the right kind of character and quality over the next few weeks.”

When asked about the type of players Compello is after:

“I know that this club needs leaders and experience above all else. The chairman knows my targets, he has the list, and it’s now in the hands of the club. If we can find the right player to fit our profile then I know I have the backing of the club.”

QPR Transfer News
It appears new boss Benito Compello is putting his money where his mouth is with a string of new signings rumoured to be arriving at the club for medicals this evening.

Earlier today when interviewed Compello stated his desire for experienced players and it is understood that is exactly what he’s bringing in. Just a day into the job and already sources believe that 6 new signings could be unveiled as early as tomorrow.

QPR have reportedly agreed fees for experienced Barcelona and Brazilian midfielder
Paulinho - 91, Ex Liverpool and current Napoli keeper
Reina - 90, Portuguese playmaker Adrien Silva - 90, Wide forward Schürrle - 90, German midfielder/attacker Stindl - 90 and Atheltico Madrid striker Gameiro - 90.

It is understood that negotiations have been productive for several other players too with Compello making big changes in preparation for next season.

@BenitoSTARR you have been busy! I was gonna offer you Santi Mina (89) on loan but you're now covered in the attacking department. There's still Retsos (87) available for loan if you're not able to get your CB/LB/RBs sorted before tomorrow's game.

QPR Transfer News
It appears QPR’s transfers are far from finished with another 4 arrivals expected later today. The club has agreed fees for experienced CBs Raul Albiol and Adil Rami as they look to bolster their defence. There was late interest from Kiddiminster Harriers for Rami but QPR are confident they will be securing his signature.

The search however continues for fullback options as Birmingham City’s bid for Sturaro (which includes Schmelzer) may be of greater value to Juventus.

In midfield the powerful Sissoko and technical playmaker Koziello look set to complete their moves with Compello now apparently content with his options in the middle of the park.

“I’m delighted with the business we’ve managed to do so far and so efficiently too. I’m very happy with how our midfield options are shaping up. We have managed to get a great balance between offensive and defensively minded players and have some great options going forward. We’ve got a good mixture of styles now.

I think also defensively the experience of Rami and Albiol will be vital components in our future success. Both have played at the highest level both internationally and domestically and I’m confident they’ll help some of the younger players along the way.”

When asked if the business was finally over:

“We’ll just have to see what we can do but we’re confident of a few more deals.”

Only if he either moves club or has somehow become Inter's #1. For the first half of the season he was stuck behind 52-year-old Nagatomo then the second half he was stuck behind D'Ambrosio once Nagatomo left for Galatasaray.
Think he starts in every pre-season matches so far, so he has good chance of becoming 1st choice left back

Got the three points vs Southampton (2:1) I needed to secure top four - bit of help from Wino too. As usual, the opposition scored from one of their two shots on target. Congrats to Stain on the title.

Kimmich (92) Stones (90) Boateng (94) Gaya (90)
Goretzka (91)➕Dele (92)
Mina (89) Kroos (95)➕ Brandt (90)
Griezmann (95)⚽

Subs: Ramos (95), Roberto (91), Eriksen (93), Alaba (93), Martial (90), Mbappe (92)⚽, Sterling (92)
Suspended: Pogba (93), Isco (93)
Did not travel: N/A

Key:
⚽ = Goal
➕ = Assist
⭐ = MOTM
= Subbed off
= Subbed on

Next three games:

With the next concern review starting tomorrow my squad should be fine though wouldn't surprise me if I got the odd random playing concern like with Lyanco (82 rated) last time around.

My record from round 13-24 was so good (10 league wins, 2 draws) but my record after that let me down.

Looking good but not over yet. Willian scored from midfield with my only shot on target. Lol.
