Netflix documentary on the influence that Tech companies are wielding on us.

What do you guys think of it?

Watched it last night. Was quite good. Didn’t like the re-enactments.

Fantastic tagline

I was expecting more ridiculousness from the thread, in all honesty.

Was quite good. I feel it's stuff we're all aware of already but, the details they used here were a lot deeper than I expected.

Currently read Mindf*ck by Chris Wylie, the Cambridge Analytica guy and Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff, both go into really good detail on this subject.

Looking forward to watching the doc.

The bit about future generations not even knowing they are plugged into a matrix was quite frightening.

In a way, it’s already happened for the tik tok generation and 5G will make it a slam dunk.

I am balls deep in this documentary at the moment.

It’s ok but has just confirmed that I want nothing to do with social media ever again.

I have long been off Facebook and only really used Instagram and Twitter until recently but have now deleted those because of the amount of adverts and posts that were pushed my way.

Social media terrifies me now, along with mobile technology in general. I am petrified for my children. Especially my daughter.

Next step will be the losing of my smart phone.
