You quoted three posts that were fairly reasonable. You might not agree with them which is fine but they weren't of the "Rashbeck" or "Wouldn't start at Newcastle" variety.
You then said, his performances on the field are unequalled by anyone else in the current squad. That would be a true statement for Bruno or Shaw, certainly not Rashford.
The last bit is really where it got embarrassing. Rashford is no legend, at least not yet and putting him in the same sentence as Best, Law and Charlton was quite ridiculous. I hope it was just tongue in cheek but with what came before it, I couldn't give you the benefit of the doubt.
Saying his performance was "horrific" I wouldn't call fairly reasonable.
"He was shit tonight " naaah not that either!
The 2 players you name have been great for us and have kept a high performance level. Definately agree with that! However in terms of effort, dedication, period of time, playing position etc I would say his performances are unequalled yes.
To say he's carried us is a bit too strong a word however he has taken a hell of a lot of responsibility on his shoulders being our sole attacking force for so long. He plays a role which is unbelievedly demanding physically which he is currently paying for.
Yes tongue in cheek to a certain extent!
but if you look at previous utd "legends" we're talking maybe players with 450+ apps for the club. There are exceptions of course Denis Law undoubtably a club legend with just over 300 apps.
Scholes 718 apps!
Compare the following stats:
Best (debut 17yrs) Rashford (18 yrs)
apps (goals in brackets)
1st season 26 (6) 18 (8)
2nd season 59 (14) 53 (11)
3rd season 43 (17) 52 (13)
4th season 45 (10) 47 (13)
5th season 53 (32) 44 (22)
6th season 48 (21) 47 (20) still going on
Note I'm not comparing Rashford with Best regarding skills. Regarding playing position apps and goals however there is definately a likness.
The Holy Trinity:
Law 309 apps 171 goals
Charlton 606 apps 199 goals
Best 470 apps 178 goals
Rashford still only 23 so why embarrassing?
