I've always thought some of the health stories about him were overblown however he looks like he's deteriorated massively recently. I really don't see him seeing out his full term.

It’s not as though Trump has needed to focus on the geography of that region over recent months (like a certain strait). He’s probably confusing the Bahrain (similar flag) and Saudi causeway.
Interesting he won his first election by calling his opponent a crook (and, among his supporters, tales of a paedo ring) and his second election by focusing on the dementia of the incumbent. I imagine he could win a third term by accusing his opponent of being fat or having a combover.
He cannot drop the interest rate, the majority of Feds governors need to vote for it. The chair is a first among equals, cannot do stuff by himself. A bit like the supreme court chief justice.
And similar to SCOTUS, there is not much Trump can do to force the Feds to do anything. Let's not forget that he chose Powell the first time around, and has been tweeting non stop against him for the last 6 years or so. Feds is a completely independent organization so it is them who decide what the interest rates will be. Trump might put pressure on them, but nothing to suggest that they will fold.

I am out of the loop on this. What happened in he reflecting pool?
Trump was moaning about it being filthy and full of algae. He originally said it wouldn't cost a lot and could be fixed easily. He said he knew all about pools as he had several Olympic size ones built for his buildings. He blamed Obama for the issues with the pool for weeks.
He said he knew people who could sort it easily but went for a never before used contractor and the price rose to $14 million dollars.
He said he wanted the bottom of the pool painted a darker blue colour than it was before. The work was done and after a few days algae started to appear. MAGA clowns said it was Democrats tampering and sabotaging the pool.
The White House said when being repaired and painted they didn't touch the pipes and pumps and they contained algae spores hence the algae returning. However, the darker colour he chose absorbs heat more and combined with the shallow water and the extremely hot and humid weather as well as the bird and wildlife using it all adds up to....
Science.
Obviously a quicker algae growth.
He spent over a week with big card showing how the pool is taller than any building in the USA. He did say the world at one point too.
Now there are loads of bloked filtering the pool and netting the algae whilst pouring hydrogen peroxide in to it from 5 litre bottles. According to sources I've seen, they will need about 10,000 litres of that stuff to have any effect.
So all in all, typical Trump bullshit. Blames someone for a problem, tries to fix it and a ridiculous cost, it goes wrong and he's blaming everyone else again.

Oh he definitely got major kickbacks from it. He originally and repeatedly said between $1.5 and $1.8 million. Then it just rose to about $10 million, then $12 million. He also said it was open for contractors to bid then he gave it to a company never used before in a no bid deal and ended up costing over $14 million.
Yeah, I'm sure there's nothing dodgy about that deal at all.
I read it's a company from one of his mates who will now do free work at his florida resort.
