Biden only has to repeatedly ask Trump to denounce white supremacy during the next debat, for 2 hours. #electionwon
He'd be better off asking him to denounce specific, named groups like 'The Proud Boys'. and 'Patriot Prayer'. Otherwise it's just a throwaway general denunciation that cuts not much ice.

It's funny how, to many US citizens, the idea of a fully tax-payer funded and comprehensive national health service is apparently 'socialist' or 'communist' (and therefore bad), whilst a fully tax-payer funded and comprehensive national defence force (the armed forces) - at phenomenal cost - is apparently not socialist or communist.

And I doubt if anyone suggests that US citizens should have to get a private insurance policy if they want the fire-service to come if their house catches fire, yet most are are expected to get private insurance if they want a hospital to treat them if they fall ill.

It seems to be one rule for services provided by those in military uniforms - or military-like uniforms (the police, fire-service) - and a very different rule for services provided by those in medical 'uniforms'.

It is because the military is supreme in the USA and it is one of the most martial countries in the world. I couldn't believe that some Americans stand up and give their first or business class seats to people in uniform.

This could be Hicks’ most benign virus ever suffered.

The fact that she was on M1 & AF1, undoubtedly sans mask, for 2+ hours with all the upper echelon in the Trump campaign is promising.

I'm trying to figure out how him getting it would impact the campaign. Obviously it takes him off the campaign trail and demonstrates the seriousness and his lack of attention to the virus. The ultimate 2020 twist...

I could see them continuing with the debates & placing the onus on Biden to potentially drop out. This could be the key October surprise this time around.

I could see the debate commission cancelling them or forcing them to separate locations? If he gets really sick and can't physically campaign, the whole landscape changes.

Good call on the Commission cancelling them.

I wonder how they will spin a late night trip to Walter Reed this time?

If he got it badly - and given he's over 70 and overweight that wouldn't be hugely unlikely - you can't rule out the rally round the flag effect, either. Happened with Johnson over here.

Right. I think his failures have been so substantial and it's been long enough that he wouldn't get that benefit from many voters though. If it happened in April or May, maybe, but he's let 200+k people die.

Christmas is not Melania's favourite time of the year:

"And I'm working my ass off at Christmas stuff that, you know, who gives a feck about Christmas stuff and decoration but I have to do it right? Ok and then I say I'm working on planning for the Christmas and they said "oooh, what about the children that were separated?" Give me a fecking break."

Contact tracing would cast a wide net, wouldn’t it? Most of the WH occupants & Hicks’ current boyfriends adds up to a lot.

WH saying they know Hicks had it since Wednesday, it does reduce the likelihood Trump got it.

More likely, Kushner and Miller.

Miller already had it, unfortunately.

If any transmission has occurred, it would potentially be on the transport vechicles to/from the WH & the rallies. Hicks would have been on both Marine One (often) & Air Force One (every time). Her lessened proximity to the president in those vechicles, coupled with her admin status, put Trump in the group most likely to attain the virus. Trump has to have taken the quick test, they should know the results by now as it’s been 24 hours since it was known that Hicks had it. This must be the confirmation test, not sure how long it takes. If he was negative, there’s no way they wouldn’t release that fact.

Trump’s also just taken a test which takes a couple of days to get the results to return, not a daily test the WH uses.We won’t know the results for a day or so, at least.
His wife had it. I don't think he did.
