We are also potentially into double digits in the administration‘s ‘Infrastructure Weeks,’ although, in fairness, they do tend to get derailed by things like Charlottesville & the revelation that Trump paid off porn stars.
Infrastructure is an issue everywhere, as repairing stuff isn't spectacular and doesn't help (enough) come the next elections. But my understanding is that it's worse in the US among OECD countries. Not sure if I have ever seen that properly quantified though.
Trump may want it. But the Republicans hate the idea. It means spending money on things that help and matter to the people.
