The U.S. and Israel attack Iran

What an aircraft Carrier at sea for 280 days looks like.

Some poor feckers are going to get some terrible rota's of scraping the moss and rust off the hull in port.

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday suggested renaming the Strait of Hormuz “Trump Strait”, despite the fact that the crucial waterway remains contested amid the war with Iran.

“Now that we have it under USA control, should we change the name Hormuz Strait to TRUMP STRAIT??? Like America itself, it would be ‘hotter’ than ever before!” Trump said on his Truth Social network.

Dan Driscoll the latest to dip out of this quagmire. No worry:

Israel always had a lot of influence over US foreign policy but it appears that Israel has more or less taken over key apparatus of the US administration under Trump.

Who would pay more?

The US might want to think about bribing Trump, then he might do something to help us.

Netherlands moves billions in gold to London in 'crisis preparedness' move

The Dutch central bank (DNB) has confirmed that billions of dollars in gold has been taken out of north America and relocated to London, citing "increasing geopolitical unrest".
"Combining the processes of buying and selling and physical transport has allowed DNB to spread the risks associated with such a complex physical gold relocation," the statement said.

DNB did not confirm what it was referring to with its mention of "geopolitical unrest" but the US economy remains in an uncertain position due to the country's ongoing war with Iran, which has impacted global trade.

Britain is back baby, give us all your gold!

Yeah I don't really know what it all means but I do know what a squirming animal with its foot in a trap, caked in it's own shit looks like, because I watch Donald Trump's press conferences.

SEOUL, Sept 4 (Reuters) - South Korea is preparing to deploy military assets to support freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz ‌and aims to dispatch them before the end of the year, media reported late on Thursday, citing government and military sources.
The reports in several South Korean media outlets said the government was preparing procedures to seek parliamentary approval for the deployment, including submitting a consent motion to parliament this month after cabinet review.

Yeah uh....this is certainly a ...development.

South Korea going to deploy Naval Escorts in Hormuz was not on mine or I imagine anyone's Bingo card.

The solution?
Well, according to the Jerusalem Post, the US should offer to erase student loans and credit-card balances for the young Americans willing to join the slaughter.
The cost would, of course, be MASSIVE. And it would be paid for by ordinary American taxpayers. All because Israel wants more war…

They're doing the meme!

But to be fair Iran is too:

US strikes 3 Iranian oil tankers.

The U.S. military on Saturday said it struck three Iranian oil tankers after Navy warships were targeted with missiles, warning that it would “if necessary, destroy Iran’s limited and exposed oil fleet.”
The U.S. statement said the tankers were part of a shadow network helping to fund Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guard and its armed proxies in the region. Earlier, Iran accused the U.S. of attacking an Iranian tanker near Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf.

Disgusting country. How do these people sleep at night?

Well... legally it isn't war and some office worker can't change that. So I wouldn't blame the Pentagon here.

Are they blaming the Pentagon though? But even so, ultimately the Pentagon reports to Hegseth. So in that sense, dealing with this properly is in the wider realm of the Pentagon. Plus, there might be ways to provide these or similar benefits if you're not rigorously bureaucratic about it.

"It's small potatoes. I wouldn't call it a war I'd call it a military conflict." I say pedophile and you say ephebophile, let's call the whole thing off - oh yeah you can't because you don't control the situation anymore you disgusting fat pedophile.

Donald Trump, 24 June 2025:

CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED! Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World. During each CEASEFIRE, the other side will remain PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL. On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, “THE 12 DAY WAR.” This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!

Pentagon - not a war.

US aircraft damaged according to CBS News:
Multiple American military aircraft were damaged in Iranian strikes that occurred overnight Tuesday into Wednesday local time on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, people with direct knowledge of the matter told CBS News. Roughly eight F-15s sustained light damage and were reportedly placed back into service, according to the people familiar with the damage, who spoke to CBS News under the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

And the importance of hardened bunkers rears its ugly head again. Those F-15's would have been toast without hardening.

One of the biggest lessons from this is don't skimp money on bases without them.

It's hard to trust anything coming out of the White House or Pentagon so we can't really be sure how much damage was inflicted.

At the start of the war (that isn't a war, then is a war, don't forget an excursion) the 6 soldiers that died and dozens more injured were killed at a base that had no cover. It was made worse by all the denials and then the leaks that all those at the base and much of the top military brass had all said the base was unsafe for that very reason.

Nobody seems to be mentioning the fact that two destroyers were hit a couple of days ago too and that all this is being caused by a supposedly totally defeated and unarmed Iran.

I read a report last night that said the salvo that hit the F-15's and A-10 was mainly stopped by patriot missiles but the amount used cost around $120 million dollars. Yet more huge costs on top of everything else. The same report said Iran has got a pretty decent amount of hypersonic missiles left too. If that's true then surely we should expect more incidents and possibly more deaths and injuries.

What? There's absolutely nothing coming from anywhere that two destroyers have been hit. Where are you seeing this? I literally see this nowhere.

If a Burke has been hit that's frontpage news. That's the first US capital shit hit by anything in combat for 3 and a half decades. Hundreds of sailors dead, hundreds more wounded, would require immediate diversion of assets and the Carrier would have to withdraw.

Of course Iran has hypersonic missiles. Almost every ballistic missile by definition is hypersonic.

There is a difference between completely destroyed as you picture here and being scratched by some shrapnel from some intercepted stuff.

Which is far more likely to happen and much easier to keep the lid on.

They weren't badly damaged or damaged at all, I just remember hearing a report saying two missiles got through the defences which caused the US Navy to retreat to a safer distance.

I've just searched and it appears Iran made the claims and the US completely deny them (which of course they would given this lot never admit anything that puts them in a bad light or makes them appear weak or vulnerable or makes Iran sound anything other than completely defeated)

Iran have also claimed that the US Navy has moved many of their vessels hundreds of kilometers back away from The Strait of Hormuz so they can better defend against the attacks. Again, that's not been confirmed and is vehemently denied by CENTCOM. However, as we all know, it's difficult who to really trust and believe given the lengths Trump, Hegseth and co have previously gone to deny reports that have later turned out to be true. Also, Iran have never been the most trustworthy either, although they were certainly the more honest and reliable during the first few weeks of the "excursion"

Or cluster munitions.

Iran has been hitting the Jordanian bases for at least a few days with almost no US response other than the US hitting civilian oil tankers - because that's all the US can do at this point without massively escalating. Remember the good old days when Iran's launch capacity was degraded 95+%? Or when Iran was begging for a deal and a few IRGC hardliners shot a couple missiles to scupper that deal?

The reality is incredibly stark at this point. The US is out of cards (unless they want to play the big one, which they won't/cant).

Sorry but I'm not sure how the IRGC can be considered on the same level as CENTCOM when it comes to reliability.

The USS Ford and Abe Lincoln have been hit with 100 missiles at this point, with tens of AI videos showing on fire aircraft carriers with burning wrecks. Sorry but its just not credible. If even 10% of IRGC claims were true the US would have zero surface ships left afloat. You're confusing the US administration with CENTCOM, who to my knowledge have never made up fictional events.

The only claim that people take issue with was D1 where CENTCOM said 5th Fleet HQ took material damage, when in reality a radar got taken out and a repair depot got hit.

Second of all, the claim makes absolutely no sense.

They claimed to launch ballistic missiles at the ships. That's an SM-3 intercept. It's exo-atmospheric. In that scenario, no debris is getting close.

The ballistic missiles Iran has are GPS guided. I've written about this topic in detail before - there is no viable kill chain that Iran posses for a ballistic missile to hit a destroyer/carrier. A ballistic missile especially guided by GPS/Inertia do not have a kill chain. The rumoured Fateh variant which is anti ship, which nobody has confirmed it even exists, supposedly has seekers on them but even then, it's incredibly inplausible.

Talks of potential cluster munitions from a ballistic missile targeting a ship is so far in fantasy land we're now in video game territory.

So the claim is that Iran launched ballistic missiles at 2 moving destroyers, evaded SM-3's, ESSM's, but somehow both hit their targets but didn't actually damage the target causing casualties (despite a ballistic missile hit being catastrophic to modern ships).

Doesn't pass the sniff test at all.

If the claim was they used short range anti-ship cruise missiles, and got past the ESSM net and one got intercepted and got debris out, that's believable.

Brad Cooper did a video just a week or two ago declaring the Strait open

But whatever, there's no point debating this anymore. Everyone will believe the side they're aligned with.

Houthis forces have taken over a Red Sea island in the middle of the Bab al-Mandab shipping lane, completing their push to control the area, a local government official and eyewitnesses have told AFP.

“Boats carrying armed Houthi fighters reached Mayyun Island after government forces withdrew from it yesterday,” the official says, referring to an island also known as Perim that divides the strait into lanes.

“The Houthis have completed their takeover of the Bab al-Mandab area and Mayyun Island, which is located in the middle of the strait,” he has added, speaking to AFP on condition of anonymity.

An eyewitness says gunmen were “deploying along the Bab al-Mandab shore and are driving around in military vehicles”.

Saudis east to west pipeline hit as well with a drone attack. Who could have predicted that??

The pipeline cope was always hilarious and not just because of the capacity issues or building lag. If they can hit American bases and they can hit moving ships, then they can damn well hit stationary pipeline infrastructure.

The source said he contacted the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) and was assured the US was “watching the situation closely and that Saudi air support was coming.”

“But the air support never came,” the source said. “And Mocha has now fallen.”
 (I'm laughing because I'm angry and this is very bad and I would never support these Tusken Raider terrorists in their awful campaign against the Empire.)

The rag tag Houthis in their flip-flops showing the US how you seize an island. For the second time in a couple of years Ansar Allah are pulling Trumps pants down and he's wearing a big ol' diaper full of shit. (And I condemn them.)
