Thomas Frank | Tottenham Manager

Guys like him and Iraola don’t belong at the bigger clubs, I was against either if Amorim goes.
Same. Don’t get the hype around Iraola or even Glasner to be fair. They are decent managers at the level of clubs they currently manage. I’d much rather take Emery who’s shown a lot more consistency with his current team.

Can't stand Frank. He's always been a pissy piece of shit in interviews wherever we've best him. Also dyes his hair.

I think they all did a great job at their clubs, espacially Glasner. He also won some big trophies (Fa Cup, Europa League). But I also have my doubts his way of playing would work for a top team

I’d take him at United tbf.

Frank has never been a top level manager. He cant really handle that pressure. Brentford was a great level for him. Spurs should have been fine too, even though some of their fans think they are a lot better than they are. In reality their squad is bang average.

I don't agree with iraola. Can't be certain he will work at a bigger club but he does havs a style of football he could try to emulate at a bigger club unlike Frank. Besides there are very few proven top level managers out there and maybe only emery is obtainable

Is he shit or is this just the level of Spurs now? Two managers in a row flirting with relegation
Tottenham are missing Solanke, Udogie, Sarr, Kuluselvsi, Bissouma and Maddison. That’s more than half their first eleven.

Their squad is hardly top 5 material and they sit 4-5 points behind top 8 where they probably belong. I think any new manager that has more than half the first eleven available will find it difficult to excel.

He’s obviously not an elite manager but who is and could Spurs ever get them? The EPL is incredibly competitive and that’s underscored by the mere 9 point gap between 4th and 15th after nearly half the season is played. Any manager that’s not Ferguson, Guardiola or another truly exceptional manager that come around so rarely will struggle to keep up with pre season expectations under those conditions in this league.

Sky Sports are to blame for the widespread disillusionment with Thomas Frank on here.
Franks open-mouthed mastication when chewing a piece of gum is compellingly repugnant yet Sky feel it is vital to broadcast the full-on facial to an unsuspecting public.
The sight is hideous, bovine and vomit-inducing.
If he refused to chew his cud with a closed mouth, Frank must wear a face mask.

Him and Glasner I'd rather say, Iraola might work, don't know why, but his football(Iraolas that is) just might fit well with even better players than he has atm. I know Glasner plays the similar system as we do atm, but it's not really set up the same way and also, personally don't want to continue with a 3 atb.

Very good for a smaller side playing mostly on the counter and with limited expectations. Found out at Spurs.

Also not helped by some absolutely idiotic players.

All the premature giddiness in the early pages of this thread get funnier and funnier over time. The mighty Keith Andrews has taken Frank’s team, sold the best players, didn’t replace them and racked up the most points after the first half of a season in Brentford’s PL history

Sinking without a trace, this guy.

Will probably turn up at Everton or Fulham in a year or two and do o.k but yeah I've been shocked how bad Spurs are to watch most weeks.

When Brentford first came up it very much was a direct ball up to Toney and build from there but over a few years he morphed into an enjoyable counter team to watch with Mbuemo, Damsgaard and Wissa.

Spurs could do the same. That second Richarlison offside goal was a brilliant cross from Kudus who has his moments in games so they could counter with more restraint than what Ange was doing and still be good to watch but he really is overcoaching them out of possession and that is restricting things.

Spurs are terrible to watch at home with results to match so results like this won't matter too much in the long run.

Bloody hell :o. Thats a wow stat.

Didn't they win today?

They won v Brentford the other week and then lost in awful fashion at Forest so I don't think today is going to be sustainable in the long run given that is quite a buzz word in Football currently.

The dreaded double whammy of being terrible in your new job, while the young novice looks better in your old one with a worse squad.

Just given Bournemouth their first win since October, while Keith Andrews has his Brentford squad (minus their best player) in the CL places.

Probably a dead man walking at this stage.

He’s reaching Amorim levels of bad, albeit at a worse club.
