Annihilate Now!
...or later, I'm not fussy
Barring a miraculous second half turn around, He's surely gone?

Yet.........

Mostly, they were very direct but they would also be quite front footed in terms of swarming opponents and making sure that second balls were won. Feels like Spurs players think that's beneath them and they want to strut about playing sexy football. His football was always long balls, set pieces, utter boring and defensive shite.

Glad it wasn't just me that thought that, could never stand the guy and was relieved when he ended up at Spurs. Slightly worrying he might be back on the market again soon, now, but surely we couldn't be so stupid. He was so cocky and arrogant at Brentford, especially when talking about us. His humble pie has been quite something.

I'm probably misremembering, to be fair.

Excellent post. If Frank were United’s manager, there would be thesis-length defences of his reign and a challenge to prove that he will definitely not be the next Arteta. And Frank at least has some PL kudos unlike our late formation fundamentalist from a big three team in a third rate three team league. Not necessarily specifically to you, but why are the rules so different for managers at other clubs vs here?
Our manager it would be we are a shit show/give him time/he needs more windows/we came 17th/we didn't back him in the market/we are higher in the league than last season, etc. For opposition managers the standards appear so much higher and harsher, it is such an odd phenomenon. No one would entertain our manager being sacked 6 months in but think it needs to happen at other clubs.

@Regulus Arcturus Black
Remember that time you said I was talking about of my ass because I told you Spurs didn’t look a different beast and were no better under Frank but you insisted they were because of a glorified pre season friendly against PSG?
Like I said at the time, writing was on the wall. Watch every game because my son’s a Spurs fan as this is genuinely the worst it’s been for a long time. Ange was bad but I honestly think this is worst, he’s carried himself terribly and looks so out of his depth and the football is poor. Spurs are in a terrible position right now.
Yes. He isn‘t the first manager to struggle at Spurs, I‘d cut him some slack.Wasn't he in the running for a United manager?
Yeah need a few more PL candidates to have bad results, might make INEOS see sense on the criteriaWasn't he in the running for a United manager?
Remember when I told you Amorim was utter wank?
Yup, we’re both clueless, thanks for getting it in writing.

You won’t find a post where I said Amorim was great or anything. I told you about Spurs and how they weren’t performing like you claimed and how the football hadn’t changed like you claimed, you clearly hadn’t actually been watching them and were basing it off of a few scorelines.
Spurs are genuinely in a worst place than they were before. A manager saying a lot of wrong things, doing a lot of wrong things, a horrible style of football at times too.
It’s clear to see this team needs investment and quite a few players out but it’s also clear Frank isn’t the manager for the job, absolutely no chance.
Indeed. He was doing better with a lesser squad at Brentford.Premier league experience is no guarantee.

I’ve found that most people here barely watch other teams, and most of them don’t watch other leagues at all. It's because whenever a random manager has a decent spell some fans use that guy to further criticise whoever is in charge of United. That's their goal.
It becomes "look at what Frank/Emery/Postecoglou have already achieved compared to our guy"
They're not really fussed about Frank or Emery or whoever it is. Like you say they've probably barely watched those teams.
It's just a mechanism to further slate the Manchester United manager.
Spurs appointing Frank after Postecoglu is the carbon copy of us appointing Amorim after Ten Hag.You won’t find a post where I said Amorim was great or anything. History will be very kind to AW. People don't understand just how big an achievement it was to keep us not just afloat but highly competitive with the kind of players we had and budget constraints he was under. It's just the level of the Spurs squad, 14th in the league is near their level of 10th. Bale before, Kane and son propped them up. They're a billion in debt due to the stadium costs. It'll take 10-20 years to pay off.
No manager will do much better than Frank has. I think it just shows how well Wenger did when Arsenal were financially constrained by the Emirates costs.
Who cares what that racist says?Proper crash out.
I hear it though, imagine seeing a united manager drinking out of a pool/city cup when they're nowhere near that stadium or playing that team?
Absolutely tanked his rep in 6 months.
Some managers just suit the underdog clubs.
Dear god, no.West Ham next?
I think I got that wrong about Wenger too. I never thought you would win the league again under him after the Invincible side was dismantled- although your 07-08 side had me worried at one point- but that wasn’t the way to look at it. He was doing well to keep you competitive for the top 4 for so long.History will be very kind to AW. The way United are going through managers, his turn might come soon.Wasn't he in the running for a United manager?
