Until the 3:0 defeat in our direct duel, Bayern was playing much better than at any point under Nagelsmann, IMO. They weren't as spectacular but far more consistent. I think their natural ambition became toxic after that and they self-destructed. What Tuchel had gotten out of a very thin squad until then was pretty impressive. It's probably not really known ourside of Germany but for some matches Tuchel only had 15 players available. At one occasion he had to play a CM at CB. Despite landing Kane Bayern's transfer windows were almost dilettante for a professional club. To think that Tuchel was still on course for a top 5 ever Bundesliga season until it all imploded is actually quite crazy.
Nagelsmann - at least the Bayern version - still has a bit of growing left to do before he is a true top coach, IMO. His playstyle is too erratic and moody.

Klinsmann was pretty shite. Couldn't even win a trophy with them.

Its actually insane that many people on here continue to mention him as a viable candidate. I've never rated him. Not even when he lucked into the CL at Chelsea. Every team he has gone to they've gotten worse eventually. His football is tumescent and he is also someone who has an unsettled dressing room nearly everywhere he goes.What was the point in keeping him?

Yeah I remember senior players like Terry acting like players-managers (or at least I remember them before matches giving instructions to others). It was funny but it worked out in the end. Your CL win was a fluke but it kinda was deserved after some unlucky/narrow losses like vs Liverpool twice under Mourinho, United on penalties and famous Barca game in 2009.
I would love it if he won the CL and then the day after the final Chelsea announced his return to us.

Madrid: Ancelotti and this Madrid side can put in very, very organized performances and knock anyone out, even if they're the second best team over a two-legged tie. We saw that in basically every KO game they had in 2022 (PSG, Chelsea and City were all better, as well as Liverpool in the final), and this time against City as well. They've added basically only Bellingham for this season, but he's kinda became their talisman. Might get laughed at for this, but they've beaten City the way we've beaten them several times under Ole, just with better players, better organisation, and absolutely lethal chance conversion rates. This is not a pejorative comment from me, as it's the best way to overcome Pep's City in a one-off game or a two-legged knockout tie.
With Bayern, I feel there's some similarities. They're not as good as they used to be, and I don't think they're the best team in the world. I'd say City, Arsenal, Madrid, and Leverkusen are better this season, and Bayern are in that next tier below with Internazionale, PSG and possibly Barca, but it's difficult to judge. However, much like Madrid, they can put in some very organized and well-drilled performances under Tuchel, and Kane definitely makes them significantly stronger than they were without him last season.
With PSG, I feel like they're not guaranteed not to mess up vs Dortmund, but if they go through, Luis Enrique is a very good, experienced coach who can set them up in a CL final to give them the best chance of winning, and Mbappé will be very, very motivated to basically finally make his and Qatar's dream come true by winning his home town their first CL title 13 years after the takeover, in what is very likely his last game for the club. If he wins the CL, he will 100% leave. There will be nothing left to achieve in Paris and Ligue 1 is way too much of a joke for him to stay there and keep winning every season until he retires. No real opponent for PSG long-term and the league is generally way weaker than La Liga or the Premier League. If he doesn't, I feel like it's still 99% he leaves, but there will be a sour taste in his mouth that their biggest goal wasn't achieved during his 7 years there.
With City out of the picture, I don't care who wins it anymore, though.

Normally, I'd say it's them two but wasn't Vini struggling with injuries early on in the season when Bellingham was scoring and assisting almost every game? Over the whole season, I'd say Bellingham has been the main man.
