Reminds me of Hargreaves the way he moves, just covers ground with ease and has excellent agility to change direction as well. Best athlete by far out of the midfield group, if the rest of his game can develop he is going to be a very useful player.
Hah ! Love this comparison.

Gotta say, some interesting English prospects in this club, coming through.

Expect him to get plenty of games in midfield from now until the end of the season, sharing minutes with Ugarte and Casemiro. Which would hopefully enable Bruno to play more in number 10 positions again.

He should have come on 5-10 minutes earlier when Arsenal were starting to camp around our penalty box and our two senior citizens were flagging. Decent cameo and I hope he gets more game time this season.

Yeah agreed. Was clear we needed that energy he came on and provided. He’s a decent player and think he has a future if he can stay fit and progress.

Very good cameo for me and gave me the impression he felt like he belonged on the pitch. Didn't seemed fazed on the ball and put himself about.

Was thinking this watching the game. 75 minutes was probably like 10 minutes more than you'd expect Eriksen to get, especially after he started at Sociedad as well. Not that he was poor but obviously had no energy left.

Good call. Lets just hope he doesnt have the injury record that Ownbe had.

First it was Mainoo, this lad, Heaven and hopefully Amass follows suit. Always good to have English/British prospects coming through the ranks -- we're Britain's biggest club after all.

You put in a few promising, keen to impress youngsters and there's a good chance they'll outperform our aging, overpaid first team. Heaven, Collyer and Obi look promising.

Not saying start them every match but there's no reason that they shouldn't be given opportunities at the end of this season. Especially the fact we're playing for nothing in the league.

Spot on. I was pleased with yesterday's performance on the whole, bit scrappy first half, seemed to get more confidence second half. Heaven slotted in well, Collyer I like, nothing flash, does the basics well, Obi looks good in certain aspects, seems to be good around the box, sniffing out opportunities, build up play will improve with more minutes in the pitch.

Hope Amass can get more minutes as well, especially with nothing to play in league anymore. Still 0 minutes even though he was on the bench for some games.

absolutely nothing like Hargreaves

if he struggles to get a start now then he never will, we will look to add another midfielder in and thats before we get rid of Eriksen and Casemiro, doesnt look anywhere near as talented as some of the youth prospects we have coming through Fletcher/Thwaites + theres Kone.

Gone are the days we will keep players around for the sake of it, but the next few months are going to be huge. Not as optimistic as some are here but then again this fan base has a bad habit of hyping up youth players.

It really depends on what's your expectation of his future role at the club. As a starter? Probably not. But it's possible to have him as a squad player if he keeps developing.

He is 21, just came into the first team and in a struggling side with many issues. He is doing fine, he could show more but what he is doing is needed right now and into the future it will depend on how he develops as a player. This is an incredibly difficult role to master and even if his limitations persist he can contribute now and earn us a decent fee down the line.

I think he could be our "Nicky Butt" Not quite good enough to be a regular but will get lots of games due to injuries, suspensions etc

I can totally see that but hadn't thought about it until I read this.

Seems to be playing in the "10" role whenever he's come on and he's actually looked pretty sharp there. Will be key in the midweek fixture.

That is a good comparison. Hargreaves-Carrick-Scholes showed a lot of promise for the few games they managed to play together.

What a load of nonsense. He only just returned from injury. Do you honestly expect a young player who’s only just breaking through to get starts immediately after returning from injury? Even established first team players normally get eased back in.

Leicester 0:3 Man Utd New
Thought that was a strong return to the side from Collyer. Gave the ball away once or twice but showed great anticipation and was mostly tidy in possession too.

Definitely think he's showing he can be a handy asset to the squad.

Better teams than Leicester will punish some of his sloppiness but you can't teach that physical level, it is going to make a good career for him.

I think he'll be very useful for us. Coming on late into games to give Ugarte or Casemiro a rest seems like a good usage for him. He's a good option to have there.

Would like to see him show more on the ball. Plenty of times where he could have turned and progressed the ball but went backwards instead.

Yep he’s generally looked neat and tidy but agree there’s room for improvement in being more progressive with the ball when he gets the opportunity to do so. Can play it a bit safe but hopefully that comes with more experience and confidence.

Agree with this. He plays far too cautiously, his first instinct is to go backwards. I thought he was poor tonight, lost the ball easily and didn’t really do anything in terms of progressing the play. The little lad Amass is much more dynamic in the way he plays, got a bit of attitude about him and passes the ball with much more conviction than Collyer.

I think he did ok. Very tenacious. Think he will be a useful squad player
You need players like this to come through. Looks a decent option, and whilst he may never be a world beater - having players come through the academy and contribute is important, and means it’s a player we don’t have to buy.

Looked ok but doesn't look the most comfortable on the ball or the most press resistant. A solid performance though and he's still only finding his way in the team, so promising signs.

I like him as a back-up. Yes, he's limited, but he does a job in midfield, doesn't hide, wins the ball, and keeps it simple.
