In no particular order:

1. Furie
2. Greta
3. John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum
4. Brightburn
5. Terminator: Dark Fate

I haven't made the most of my Odeon Unlimited card this year but I plan to address that in 2020.

Wait until you see The Lighthouse with Willem Dafoe.

Going straight to the top of the list alongside Parasite.

I'm struggling to come up with 5. I don't think I overly enjoyed anything I saw at the cinema. I can pick 5, but it doesn't mean they are particularly good. I've mostly been enjoying older films this year. Here's a list anyway in no order.

Jon Wick 3 (Should have stopped after 1, but enjoyable anyway.)
The Dirt
Triple Threat
Between Two Ferns the Movie

Hoping to watch Crawl and Furie this weekend so maybe one of them will take the final spot.

There hasn't really been much choice in terms of movies for 2019. But you won't be disappointed with Furie.

I think this has been a great year. My list of 5 could have easily become 10. Last year was a farce.

Thats it. Im sure Ive seen more films this year but those two are the standouts.

The Joker bored me on my first watch. Will have to rewatch it.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, there's been some good stuff come out but not a barrage of standout films. Depends what floats your boat, I guess. I'm developing a thing for Asian cinema at the moment.

Joker is easily the best.

I really enjoyed Spider-Man and John Wick 3 too. Found Star Wars and End Game pretty disappointing, but still found some enjoyment in them. The ending to End Game was pretty awesome, after a fairly underwhelming 2 hours.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was my biggest disappointment. I was hyped for it but honestly I just found it a mix of boring and stupid. Also, Tarantino's foot fetish seems to get worse with every film. It was just obnoxious in this one. It worked in Pulp Fiction for the introduction of Mia Wallace's character as we see her feet walking into the room before seeing her face, but do we really need to see literally about 10 close-up shots of bare feet in this? What's the point? It doesn't add anything to the movie and is honestly rather off-putting.

The Irishman is another one I was looking forward to that bored be to death.

If Uncut Gems had been released here I'm sure it would be in there.

Willem Dafoe for the Oscar please.
I have spoken.

Parasite on the other hand, is a great film, I liked it, but I find it overrated, with the praise it got my expectations were through the roof.
