Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, commonly referred to simply as Tottenham or Spurs (and nicknamed The Lilywhites), are a professional football club based in Tottenham, London. The Hotspur Football Club was formed in 1882 by a group of school boys, mostly aged 13 to 14, from Tottenham Grammar School and Saint John's Middle Class School who were members of the Hotspur Cricket Club formed two years earlier. Initially, the boys that formed Hotspur Football Club played games between themselves and friendly matches against other local clubs. The team entered their first cup competition in the London Association Cup, and won their first competitive match on 17 October 1885. The club turned professional on 20 December 1895, and in the summer of 1896 they were admitted to the Division One of the Southern League. On 2 March 1898, the club also became a limited company, the Tottenham Hotspur Football and Athletic Company.

Tottenham were the first club in the 20th century to achieve the League and FA Cup Double, winning both competitions in the 1960-61 season. After successfully defending the FA Cup in 1962, in 1963 they became the first British club to win a UEFA club competition – the European Cup Winners' Cup. In 1967, Spurs won the FA Cup for a third time in the 1960s. In the 1970s Tottenham won the League Cup on two occasions and were the inaugural winner of the UEFA Cup in 1972, becoming the first British club to win two different major European trophies. In the 1980s Spurs won several trophies: the FA Cup twice, FA Community Shield and the UEFA Cup in 1984. In the 1990s the club won the FA Cup and the League Cup. When they won the League Cup once more in 2008, it meant that they had won a major trophy in each of the last six decades – an achievement only matched by Manchester United.

Tottenham supporters have rivalries with several clubs, mainly within the London area. The fiercest of these is with north London rivals Arsenal (with matches between them termed the North London derby). They also share notable rivalries with fellow London clubs Chelsea and West Ham United. Tottenham play their home games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which replaced White Hart Lane in 2019.

This I hope, no point going 3 at the back. Mourinho's going to be very negative in this game.

Probably the last full weekend of fixtures for some time?

Spurs don’t have a midfield, this is where we win the game.

    0-2 - Martial, Bruno

Hope we play this one. They're so toothless without Kane and Son. Obviously chance is they pull something out of their ass, but there will never be a better time to play them IMO, they create absolutely nothing. Maybe would've been better if there were fans there, as they'd be under more pressure, but still.
    De Gea
    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Fred Matic
    James Bruno Martial
    Ighalo
Can see this to be honest. Lets batter them.

    No chance this gets played
It’s already been announced that there’s no immediate plans to cancel sporting events in the UK. Next week will be the games that will be at risk.

Could still see the situation changing and it getting cancelled.

If it does go ahead, it is absolutely essential we win this game. We cannot allow Spurs to do us. They’ll be up for it to prove they aren’t complete shit and I’ll be pissed off if we let them into the game and their irritating fans get up for it and it just escalates from there.

    Basically, let’s win.

Possible this game is postponed, but I think the most likely scenario is closed doors for this weekend's games (plus the Monday night fixture) before an announcement on Tuesday that the season will be postponed until further notice. No point going too much into it other than that, as anything can change at any moment and there's no telling what the best solution is in regards to when to resume / if at all.

For this game, it's tricky to decide whether Ole will stick with the back three used in the bigger games recently or go for an extra midfielder or attacker instead... Spurs are garbage at the moment so I'd hope we go with the latter:

    de Gea
    Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Matic
    McTominay Fred
    Fernandes
    Martial James
    ---
Romero; Williams, Tuanzebe; Andreas, Mata; Greenwood, Ighalo

Bailly got a bit of a knock tonight, so I'd take the precaution and leave him out entirely as he won't start this game anyway. With a whack to the hip / groin he'll probably be sore for a couple of days anyway, if there's no major issue he will be playing the return leg against LASK anyway (assuming it goes ahead) as we can go full rotation then. Matic not playing against LASK makes me think he is playing this, but it's so hard to drop either of Fred or McTominay and you can't leave Bruno out obviously, which is why I think we might use the diamond.

Greenwood and Ighalo both look great, but with James grabbing a goal it'll do his confidence a world of good to start again. I also think Aurier will struggle against him. I'm confident we can shut Spurs out or at least keep them down to scoring one goal, while we'll score ourselves. Expect it to be quite tight despite how poor Spurs look lately, so going to say either a 1-1 draw or a 1-2 win for United in a hard-fought game.

With Arteta testing positive for Corona, I'm sure it'll be postponed but if it's not then:

    De Gea
    AWB--Lindelof--Maguire--Shaw
    Matic--Fred
    Greenwood--Bruno--James
    Martial

This is the one. Although Solskjaer will 100% pick De Gea and I don't really mind either way, his decline has been greatly exaggerated and he's probably still at least on a par with Romero. Also he'll probably pick Matic since both Fred and McSauce played against LASK.

I'll take getting Spurs now and beating them. They are there for the taking and cancel the season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Spurs need to cancel, because of a player or two being tested positive. Surely, they have almost the most to gain from match postponements.
