Transfer Anti-Wishlist

Watching the PSG vs Bayern game right now and pace on the wing is what we massively lack.

There are so many things this squad lack, the weekly breaks has made us fresher than the rest of the league. I think we’ve in for a huge awakening next season unless we get minimum 5 players. And I don’t think the club will do that. At a minimum we need 2 CM, I want to replace both full backs and 1 forward position.

We bought 4 last season without CL, so not out of realms of possibility we get 5.

A lot of the players being mentioned here would improve us, so I have my favorites but I am not exactly "anti" except if the terms don't make sense (price very high etc). I don't think we are in for a 100m AM, so Palmer and Rogers are out anyway.

I would object to:

1. Camavinga - horrible injury record.
2. Goretzka -- Bizzare that he keeps getting mentioned.
3. Konate at 400k a week. Someone was trying to sell us this one.

I'd take Goretzka, though more as a squad option and on an acceptable wage.

We should avoid signing anyone from Brighton, Brentford or Bournmeouth, as the fees would be a massive risk.

Gordon yes, Leao not so sure. Kvritdhlwkwhwjek had proven to be an excellent buy for Psg and he was a similar profile in Italy at the time
Leao has almost the same amount of defects as Rashford has in his game. I don’t know why we’d be interested in buying him if we are determined to get rid of Rashford

He's not been linked very strongly but now he has his own transfer thread, and having been mentioned in quite a few others, I'd like to add El-Hadji Malick Diouf to the list.

I think he's quite a good player and probably deserves to stay in the Premier League next season even if West Ham go down but his profile very much gives me the impression that his ceiling is that of a solid mid-table full-back.

Also hope we do not entertain the idea of 2nd chances for Rashford & Onana.

So if we wanted a fast CB to play a higher line then who would you like to see brought in?

Not Micky Van Der Ven that's for sure - lad can't defend.

I dont think we're investing in a CB this summer, given the work needed in CM and LW. One to revisit next year

Onviously linked with lots of players at the moment...but quite a few im not keen on too.
Anderson - ticks all the boxes, ridiculous fee and dont see him being as transformative as made out, seriously effects our budget. Think theres so many other options all a lot cheaper.
Guimaraes - excellent player, but the age amd mainly his crowd interactions all the time...feels like an Arsenal player
Ederson - just think hes decent but adds far less than many other options
Lewis Hall - again crazy fee, good player but think theres a few better options may be unrealistic but half the fee
Morgan Rogers - good player, expensive though for squad signing as qe already have better in my opinion

All good players but we are talking £300m when theres the likes of balde, nathaniel brown, camavinga, baleba, fernandes, mateus mane...who for me forgetting form and injuries are just as good as options at a fraction and offer a degree of value. We have managed and will in summer to cut dowm crazy wages...but still overspend on our transfers. Think these players are around the right price...ones ive mentioned nearly all overpriced for me

To be fair, though understand sentiment on pace...would agree with his list as not one player he mentions adds anything tp our furst eleven. Id also say yes injuries concern but we do have 5 good options for cb...unless we are selling deligt or martinez who when fit are probably the best two so unlikely, also both leaders we are short of....cb isnt coming this summer, id be surprised anyway

I like Garner but don’t think it would happen.

The other 2 in complete agreement. Overrated players whose cost would far exceed their ability

I really don’t get some of the links to Mane. Other than a couple of games I don’t think he has shown anything what suggests United player to me.

It’ll be a Dibling situation at Everton if we go for him imo. He will be much better off staying at Wolves for another season and getting regular game time imo.

Morgan Rogers for me. Moments player any time I've seen him and hardly someone who's going to elevate the team creatively, especially at the prices mentioned.

Sorloth, lump of shite.

He's an interesting case in that he moved for 10M to Villareal after his 2nd big move failed (Leipzig, after Palace) with a great season in Turkey (29 goals) in between. Makes you think there might be a talented #9 coming off a bad move and year that would be worth signing to replace Zirkzee as a backup, but then again that also describes Zirkzee, so maybe just keep him.

Lewis Hall fee potentially I can make sense of it though. I mean, there's not much ready-made LB in the Premier League is there?
Arsenal are playing Calafiori and Hincapie , i consider them both CBs
Man City has Nico O'Reilly, I see him moving to CM in the future.
Liverpool has Milos Kerkez, we can all agree he has not really stepped-up from his Bournemouth form.

Between Adrien Truffert, Malick Diouf and Lewis Hall - I think it's obvious who we should go for.

Agree with the rest though.

Dont forget he is 18...or maybe sorry that is your point with the dibbling comparison. I thought dibbling looked good at southampton but a touch of temu grealish. Mane looks special to me. Makes rught decisions, great accelerstion driving with the ball....but the main thing is, he isnt flashy but on the occasions he does have to use it, he shows cunning and great technique in situations...thats big reason why i think sp much more to come from him...obviously 95% of youngsters you never know and he isnt a greenwood, doue, rooney who no doubt will make it...and its a big jump....but he offers squad options for most attacking options and cm, so for a decent fee think hes an astute signing

Yes of those three its obvious. I think there is a premiership proven bias at the moment though. European football is generally poor currently, do get it...but there are other options in europe better for me balde, nathaniel brown...then think camavinga price looks less than virtually all premiership links...we cant shop just in our league this summer as most fees crazy...thats main readon of my anti wishlist....all good players obviously....but nearly all way overpriced....yet main thing i see is "anything over 50m is crazy for baleba"....nearly all other links seem way overpriced in comparison to me over his

Completely agree. He stinks of Countinho. Looks great on Match of the Day when he spanks one in the top corner in goal of the month, but watch him live and you see the 25 other attempts that clatter into the defender or go miles over the bar.

With Rodgers & Van Der Ven, I can understand why you would not be too pleased to see the club move for either of them, given the state of Spurs and Van Der Ven's erratic form, along with Rodgers being a frustrating and quite selfish player. However, Garner has played as well as any midfielder in the PL this season. His development at Everton over the past 18 months has been extraordinary. It likely will not happen but he would be a fantastic addition to the midfield.

El Hadji Malick Diouf. He is like a left sided Wan Bissaka without the tackling ability.

Also why do people keep suggesting Jimenez? Just because he’s free? He’s not been good since he had bad injury with broken skull.
