Transfer Chat | Discussions about tweet sources etc.

Threads aren't limited to Tier 1 - just the actual player threads because we don't want to spam up the threads with terrible tweet sources and have posters needlessly debate fake narratives. The actual twitter threads still have a broader set of sources which can be commented on.
Noted thanks! Just saw the detailed explanation on this as well

I think there whould be more room for rumours and broader approach. For instance the goalkeeping situation I can imgane will have us linked to 5 or 6 of them this summer. That's interesting. Some will be more reliable and some will fade out.

However, we need to be able to have discussions around this and keep the forum going. It's pretty mad as of right now in some of the threads as people are "scared" to post tweets at all. It takes away the fun of this being the worst part of the year football-wise. I'm all for credible sources and don't want to spam the forum but the rules as of right now are pretty harsh and not helpful for discussion. Discussion is the main reason we are here. If you only want to see tier 1 and not speculate, then log out of the caf and stay on X all day.

Thanks. This will be helpful when we look at changes to tweet sources at the end of the window.

This window has barely started, why make changes at the end? We have a whole summer ahead of us.

We're nearly a month into the window and things are going quite well. We will take the various comments under consideration this window and take a look at what makes sense for the next one.

Transfer threads and discussion on the forum existed before twitter did. There are various sources that can be used other than twitter which as from the papers first hand which people can reference instead of twitter.

Additionally, someone could just reference that there has been discussion in the tweet thread of an update regarding the transfer instead of posting the tweet, just post the link to the post in that thread and continue discussion from there.

The situation got so bad with nonsense tweets that a bit of firm action needed to be taken, and now we are trying to find a good balance. Perhaps what will happen is that aggregators will also be allowed in the player threads but for now we will just stick with tier 1 and see how it goes.

Fair play, cheers.

I know and believe me I prefer the old way but I had to create an X account a couple of years ago just tp get the latest news. Because that's the thing. News today is about being first and not necassarily the best.

I get what you're saying and I was rarely active on here during the season so can't say I've experinced it myself. Maybe there's a way to demote people with multiple warnings etc.

My two cents is all about discussion and activity. If this helps this discussion I'm all for it. We have to trust each other with common sense and also the ability to be selective when reading. You get taught that way before you have an account on here.

I hope this will jig people into being able to use common sense a bit more because they weren't beforehand. As @Raoul says though we will be assessing how it all goes.

Fabrice Hawkins should be Tier 1. He's broken first a ton of transfers this summer and doesnt bullshit. One of the most reliable french guys out there.

He's really good with his exclusives, but there were still a few moments where he jumped the gun last year. He's getting better and better, though.

Yea, fair enough, he's been on a roll this summer though.

Re- guidelines. We tried to change it up a bit to create better discourse but went too far and ruined a bit of the fun of the transfer season. We will be pulling back on the guidelines in the near future and hopefully that will help bring back some much needed positivity to the forums!

Good move!

What type of player is Fermin Lopez?

Saw us linked with him in the gutter press. According them we already bid for him in January but that bid was rejected.

United clearly going by the numbers at this transformation stage.

Watkins - 12-15 goals, Mbeumo - 10-12, Cunha 8-10, Bruno 7-9 Amad 6-8

Thats 50 goals scored sorted, just by 5 key players. Its upt to the rest of 25-men squad to score the rest, getting 75-85 goals in next PL season should be doable.

Zirkzee 6, De Ligt 5, Maguire 4, Hojlund Mount 3, Yoro, Heaven Maz Dalot Dorgu Case 2, Ugarte Shaw Amass 1

Thats over 80 goals scored. Now its up to Onana to save a few shots. In my calculation for 25-26 season it looks like 85-62 record so United should finish the season with +23 goal difference. I run it through sofisticated program so it should be very accurate.

I'll ask here, so as not to clutter up the thread. I just saw the photo of Retegui holding an EAFC plaque with some terrific ratings, highest number being 97 for shooting. I've not played any EA football game for years and years. Is that MOTM rating, or current form? where or what's the criteria, I saw similar incredible attributes for Nico Paz a while ago.
