We need a mouthpiece in the media. Someone we feed stuff too and puts us in more of a positive light. Silence is deafening!!

City do it well to be fair to them. Very quick to deny any interest in players etc to save face.

Our club needs sorting out from top to bottom. Upstairs as well as on the pitch. Its a mess!!

Not much has happened has it...no Premiership team has made many moves tbf.
City, Liverpool n Spurs only need 1 or 2 tbf. Chelsea have a ban so can't sign anyone. Arsenal are trying but have £50m again to spend so they say and no CL like us.

We need to stop comparing ourselves to these top clubs because currently we aren't one. City and Liverpool need maybe one quality player in. They can take their time. We need about 5 new additions and have taken 3 weeks to negotiate the fee of a right back we're the only team in for. And that deal still isn't completed.

Alderweireld and Eriksen possibly leaving, they didn't sign anyone last season, right-back is a weakness with Trippier tipped to move, Aurier not being good enough/also linked with a move, and they're still lacking in midfield depth. Spurs'll need more than one or two despite making it to the Champions League final. Just seems they're hamstrung in terms of finances due to the stadium move and are waiting for sales to give them additional funds for purchases.

The Spurs forum is in as much of a panic as here:

Calm down people.

Lessons have been learned, these things take time, there's no value in the market, we've been trying hard for our primary targets, we have to sell before we buy, have faith, we don't want to 'do a Leeds', the market isn't fluid at the moment and we're waiting for X Transfer to happen.

We just need to play Jones continuously in the defence

Delaney is by no means the only person to have reported this summer that Sancho changed his mind about a move here because of the state we're in. The BBC have even reported that.

Reliable journos reported that Sancho didn't want to move because we don't have CL football next season, not because of some sort of "toxic environment". That's Delaney's invention and he is a hack.

The journalist who has close ties with his camp also reported it, the guy was first to announce Sancho to Dortmund, our interest and Sanchos first interview as a Dortmund player.

They had some bad luck with injuries too. Kane had a stop start season and they still reached a CL final. If Kane stays fit for 90% of the season they will walk top 4 again. I have no doubts.

It's City v Liverpool

Then Spurs

Then a fight between a few clubs for 4th.

Can everyone remember the days when we use to get excited about transfers and the Muppets went into overdrive ? I miss them days , now it's all doom and gloom . I want to see people getting erections whilst tracking planes on flight tracker

To be fair, there was a peak there a few weeks ago over the De Ligt stuff. All in vein of course, but even during the good days it usually was as well.

There's a pattern with transfers.

The Summer begins, stories come out and we all excitedly await the arrival of our new players, fully expecting us to splash the cash (at least in recent years).

Then there's a lull, we come to the realisation that things won't happen quickly, a little bit of frustration surfaces, and as that frustration grows, attention turns from players & manager to CEO and owners.

Then we make a signing. At this point, much of the frustration is lifted and there's a temporary relief.

As time again goes on, the frustration returns, less and less with each signing until we're satisfied with what we've got.

Just so happens that an abysmal and pathetic season has mixed with a poor start to the Summer and the only respite was the signing of an unproven Championship player - which offered very little respite at all.

As a result, we have this #GlazersOut movement, extreme toxicity throughout the fanbase and a (understandable imo) lack of patience.

Most people are so fed up right now that I'm not even sure a Wan-Bisakka announcement will calm people down for very long at all.

Crystal Palace are holding out for at least £50million up front for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as Manchester United close in on a deal for the right-back.
United hope to seal the signing of Wan-Bissaka in the next 48 hours but a fee is still yet to be agreed for the 21-year-old.
The deal is set to reach £60m and will break the transfer record for a British defender.

I understand your point here. The reaction SHOULD go in another thread. But I think it's difficult when all of the transfer gossip and reactions are in this thread. People are just going to post about transfers in the same thread they read about them in. It just makes sense.

Florentino Perez pushed for the forward's signing, even putting an offer of 130m euros on the table, but 50m euros of that figure was to come in add-ons.This was unable to change the desire of the player and his representatives to make a move to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.

JFC. 60m is a lot for AWB. But we've done this to ourselves by not investing properly and scouting new players. Simply pay the money now, and then keep scouting so we don't get rinsed for other positions as well. There has to be quality players outside the PL! I bet there's about 50 quality options in France or Spain that would improve our team for less than 30m each.

When we approach they quote us double that figure. It’s just our reality. We need to just pay whatever it takes, we have the money. Haggling gets us nowhere it’s a waste of time.

You’re right it won’t. We still need the CB, 2 midfielders and right winger.

And that's IF we don't sell De Gea, Lukaku, or Pogba! If we sell any one of those we'll need to add another player. I still have confidence in Ole but those above him need to improve. I feel the mood here is only going to get worse, particularly if City find it easy to bring in Maguire and Rodri as the rumours suggest.

48 hours. The media's way of saying "we haven't a clue and are just guessing"

Yep. It’s worrying. Let’s hope things escalate quickly in the next few weeks.
