No actually as an Ole replacement.Technical director
Seems a strange choice.

Was about to say that. You'd be surprised how many people believe in Brexit FC.
I have a feeling Jan transfer window will come and go with no improvements or players brought in, and we will be met with the usual 'too hard to sign anyone in Jan' or 'No value in the market at this time' followed by 'we will continue to look to improve our squad in the summer'Tweet

Could be a smart hire, manager for the rest of the season and then move to DoF. Might need to move quickly though as Bayern are rumoured to be interested as wellTweet

Yup same here.I have a feeling Jan transfer window will come and go with no improvements or players brought in, and we will be met with the usual 'too hard to sign anyone in Jan' or 'No value in the market at this time' followed by 'we will continue to look to improve our squad in the summer'
It's what I was thinking to myself: if that was an indication of the state of the media or more indicative of the clientele they are catering to.You'd be surprised how many people believe in Brexit FC.
More like Manchester United will make half-hearted attempts to sign foreign players.Tweet

If Roman is willing to spend the amount it would take I think he'll end up at Chelsea tbh.Chelsea, should be all over Sancho come summer time if he is still there. Big Chelsea fan, homegrown. Sitting on a stack of cash from sales, without what Roman will pump in himself if needed
That’s what people said about Sanchez.I also think that he is not fully committed to spurs hence the form.
Thanks for that.Tweet

Paying €45m for a player that we couldn't get work permit for wouldn't have been the smartest, unfortunately unless these South Americans have European passports we dont really have a chance. Thanks for that.
I swear to god if we sell him for a pittance after he's done so well there.Tweet

Sounds like we're putting our foot down on the price, hence them saying they won't be paying 'exorbitant amount.' Just have to hope we stay firm and sell him elsewhere if needed.I swear to god if we sell him for a pittance after he's done so well there.

Good, has been a shit signing overall. I would look for an AM in Jan as a priority.Tweet

This was also true of our attack in the summer, and yet Lukaku and Sanchez still left without replacement.Unfortunately our depth in midfield is quite wank so I think Ole will want to get a replacement before selling him. Matic will probably play against Sheffield if McTominay can't make it.
Good pointThis was also true of our attack on the summer, and yet Lukaku and Sanchez still left without replacement.
You can't really assume common sense when it comes to United.
Lukaku I give you but there wasn't any point of buying a replacement for Sanchez when we already had Dan James. This was also true of our attack in the summer, and yet Lukaku and Sanchez still left without replacement.

I thought the argument was that Sanchez could have operated as a centre forward option whereas James was a wildcard winger.Lukaku I give you but there wasn't any point of buying a replacement for Sanchez when we already had Dan James.
The impact of Sanchez was so minimal at United that I think if even if we hadn't signed anyone then it'd have been a good "replacement". James is just a very surprising bonus.I thought the argument was that Sanchez could have operated as a centre forward option whereas James was a wildcard winger.
Really chuffed it worked out for James, mind. Hes done more before Xmas than Sanchez since arriving to United.
Yeah it was minimal, but he also was barely given a string of games to play into form under Ole and was riddled with injuries on top.The impact of Sanchez was so minimal at United that I think if even if we hadn't signed anyone then it'd have been a good "replacement". Ah come on VP. Sanchez had more than enough opportunities at United. Almost 2,000 minutes and only 3 goals in the PL for us. Was clear he needed to go. He offered us nothing, just an empty shell jogging about.Yeah it was minimal, but he also was barely given a string of games to play into form under Ole and was riddled with injuries on top.
Was obviously the right decision to let him go given he's gone to Inter and got injured again. I do wish we brought in a target man to help Rashford earlier in the season though. Mandzukic would have been fine..
He played in a lot of dud games and I don't think he was really able to play his way into form, granted a fair bit due to injuries too.Ah come on VP. I hope we can manage to get at least one midfielder in January. We are very thin in this area, and if we are to have any chance of winning Europa league we need to strengthen midfield and up front.Unfortunately our depth in midfield is quite wank so I think Ole will want to get a replacement before selling him.
