No idea where to post this, but tweets aren't loading in any threads for me - any advice?

*happy to delete if/when necessary. Apologies for the bump.

Probably Chelsea best player when I saw them play this season. For free, without an expensive contract, he could be a sensible option if a team need at RW next season. Maybe to buy time to acquire a young and expensive RW next summer.

Icardi for 50+10 would be a good deal for everyone involved. Nagelsmann or someone said players who did cost 60 would be available for 12 now but that was nonsense. Clearly, transfer fees decreased only by 20-30%.

It’s weird to think that not long ago Liverpool rested all their hopes and dreams on Coutinho to carry them

Yeah. Coutinho, James, Bale, Ozil, Alexis, Isco(?) etc. Too many has-beens on crazy wages and with low motivation so their only option is bench / stands, newly rich clubs or loans to Italy.

https://ir.manutd.com/financial-information/quarterly-reports/2020.aspx

The latest quarterly accounts (2Q 2020) show that as of the 31st December 2019, there was £100.856 million of cash and cash equivalents. Which had decreased from £140.307 million from the previous quarter (30th September 2019).

Q3 2020 results are expected imminently (by the end of this month).
Following on from this the Q3 2020 results state that "As of 31 March 2020, the Company had £90.3m of cash balances together with access to an additional £150m available under the Company’s revolving credit facility. This provides financial flexibility to support the Club through the disruption caused by COVID-19."

I feel so sorry for him, very similar to Darren Fletcher - the dark side of sports, injuries/illness denying someone the ability to reach as high as they possibly can :( At least for Gotze he got a World Cup Final winner (probably the best possible achievement in football), hope he can continue with his career and inspire those with debilitating conditions (myself included) to keep pushing on

Interestingly at the bottom of the SEC filling report it states that:

"As a precautionary measure, in order to increase its cash position, preserve financial flexibility and maintain liquidity in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, follwing the balance sheet date, the group has drawn down £140,000,000 on its revolving facility."

So since 31 March they have already taken up £140m of the credit facility. Hopefully for transfers rather than keeping the business afloat!

The spell Benitez has over the Geordie fans is pretty impressive.
Yeah, realistically Bruce has done just as good a job for them without Rondon (and I'm no Bruce advocate) but one is seen as clueless and the other it's the second coming.

It will probably take Rafa pissing hundreds of millions up the wall for it to dawn on them. His lack of spending last time let him off the hook for some pretty awful football.
