They go about their business so smoothly. No nonsense, no media posturing. Can't help but be jealous of the way these clubs conduct business.

That team (not united) is interested in a player, next day or week it's done. United? We are interested, we are picking up more interest, contacts made but no serious talks, new talks, now supervising, almost about to reaching an agreement, player waiting United checking up stats on FM, deal will be completed soon.

So not anywhere remotely close to the £80m the Leicester connected journalists insisted the club would demand.

Let's see if they can get Havertz done. Lampard can never complain about not being backed.
He will be under real pressure now. The money they have spent he has to win trophies and be challenging for the title. I know Liverpool/City were miles ahead, but Frank is supposedly a god and can do no wrong.

Annoying how efficiently other clubs do their business.
They’re efficient because the focus they have is on footballing results. Money is of course important but they don’t let it get in the way.

Starting to see a pattern with Romano.

Within 5 minutes of other journalists or outlets reporting something, he's suddenly got the inside story too. Convenient.

They aren't spending that much money when you consider they haven't really bought anyone in the past 2 years (besides Kovacic) and have received about 150 - 200 million from Hazard, Morata and others. They are just very good at selling players.

Why are they good at selling players though, we cannot even get the fee for Smalling when it was relatively small. Is it that their players manage to improve and retain their values when we seem to turn players into rubbish.

WTF are you on about! The Havertz story has been going on for 3-4 weeks and same with the Chilwell stuff.

Have you seen their transfers in the last few seasons? They've got like 3-4 LB, spent massively on Jorginho and I believe they paid Napoli to release Sarri. That's not even taking into account the other poor transfers. But yeah, let's just peddle this stupid argument that United are the only team who drag their feet.

@Nou_Camp99 is right, the transfer window does something to our fans.

Their players have them out performing where they should be, plus they don't want to sell them.

We do want to sell our players, who have us under performing for where we want to be, plus we have them on insane megabucks deals.

I hate this tweet so much. I can't think of a more underwhelming signing than Diego Costa.
Re-read it my brother! Douglas Costa, not Diego!

Though you might have the same sentiments regarding him anyway

Juventus want Pogba and as they don't have cash, they want to swap Pogba with their Deadwood.
0% chance of happening imo but at the moment they re in bed with Raiola, so you never know..
We should make a counter offer of Lingard, Pereira and Jones for Ronaldo.
See how they like that.

To be fair clubs like that are always going to spend. Whilst we’re stood still who knows who could surge past us. Our lack of activity is alarming at the moment although we have to wait until the end of the window to assess.

This is how serious teams do it if they know they can't get buyers for their deadwood. They definitely don't renew their contracts in the hope of protecting 'value.'

Corriere Dello Sport reporting this.

There's absolutely no convincing scenario in which an Italian newspaper could know all of this.

They won't have close contacts with the top of the United hierarchy to get this kind of exclusive. Even if they did have some contacts, nobody in Woodward's office would ever reveal our exact list of targets.

And on the other end of the speculation, a single newspaper would never have enough reputable leaks from different clubs/agents (who are all dealing with United at the same time) to be able to come up with a story as wide-ranging as this.

Tbf he said a week ago that Chillwell was the main target and they were trying to strike a deal for him.
