He's Lilian's son, yeah.Related to Lillian Thuram?
Passing needs to be taken within context. Bruno's passing stats are atrocious and we all know that it is actually a good thing because he tries the difficult passes. I'm not saying that's the case with Saul but just keep it in mind.Honest question: Does someone have a good working theory why we'd want him? I don't really watch La Liga so has no basis for an eye test, and statistically he just looks awful. The only thing he seems to do well is tackling and blocking. His passing stats are downright atrocious, as in 20s and 30s percentile bad. I know stats aren't everything, but help me out here - what is it with this guy that merits a price tag like that, and why should we want him?
I was kind of expecting this from Atlético de Madrid, and yeah, they'll only let him go if the release clause amount is paid.Tweet

The only way this can change is if Trippier himself expresses a desire to leave, which they've yet to get from him.If someone wants Kieran Trippier they have to spend 40 million. It is done.

We've watched him for years and at Rayo, I think he played deeper. My guess is we think we could put him in a role that suits his strengths better. I've always thought he was more of a ball carrier, similar to how Scott has, but better.Honest question: Does someone have a good working theory why we'd want him? Good ol' Howard Nurse tweet.
Kostic is quality. Would be a very good signing for Inter.Woah, it looks like Inter are already looking for new players despite still needing to sell players.

Kostic played as a left wing back for Frankfurt in a very attacking role. I'm expecting him to play ahead of both Perisic and Young at left wing back.

Feels like a done thing at this point. Flagship statement signing by Murtough the big boyTweet

Dortmund want 77 million so it's not too far away.
Wow. Who loses out to him in the psg lineup? Surely they’ll sell one or just ditch Herrera. Strong squad they’ve gotBoth Barcelona and Bayern offered him a deal, was close to Barcelona but in the end he followed his wallet to PSG.
imagine if we had the reverse, CM who could dictate play and another CB to carry the ball forward! He is not a classic defensive destroyer no i agree. He is versatile. Can play anywhere on the midfield, wich he has for Atletico. He could play in a pivot as a CDM a couple of years ago. Now im unsure.
If i could choose, i would go for Camavinga/Rice as a CDM.
Did I not read somewhere that they’ll be grandfathered in?Tweet

July 1st ALL British nationals in the EU become non-EU citizens and Aťletico Madrid already have there 2 allocated spots taken up by Felipe and Renan Lodi.

I saw somebody posting (or did I read it in an article?) about how Atleti have only two spots for Non-EU players and from 1st of July Trippier would be treated as a non-EU and they have 2 other players with the same status. Unless they are so keen on keeping him instead of the other two, I could see us bringing that 40 price tag down.I was kind of expecting this from Atlético de Madrid, and yeah, they'll only let him go if the release clause amount is paid.

We have paid a considerable amount of add ons for Martial, has he justified the fee? As for Amad allows us to sell player a,b,c etc, I dont buy that at all. If we signed Grealish last summer for £80m we wouldnt have needed to sign VDB thats a £45m difference and I would argue he could also replace all those other players you mention AND Pogba and you could also argue can play all the same positions as Sancho too. Conciveably with what you are saying we could have had Grealish last year and Sancho this year. Not using that to knock Amad at all, he may become a fantastic player.Addons for Amad have not been paid yet. If and when they're paid, it'll be because he's shown he was worth the fee. United also need strength in depth. Keep Lingard or buy Amad? Buying Amad allows us to sell: Lingard, James, Andreas and Chong, and raise the squad quality. Nor are we certain that Sancho's future lies only as RW. Sancho can play both LW and CAM too.
Son but not the Korean oneRelated to Lillian Thuram?
They’ll meet somewhere in the middle no doubt. Both clubs want this done and neither can afford to keep dragging heels over this like last year.Tweet

Agreed. Seems inevitable this one. They’ll meet somewhere in the middle no doubt. Both clubs want this done and neither can afford to keep dragging heels over this like last year.
We need to move on to adding more quality after this one

Oh right. I was very confused there when it reappeared in your postYeah, the original Tweet had "KG" instead of "KC". I think he decided to delete and retweet after reading my comment.
So how exactly are his advisors forcing him not to sign the new contract? Here come the Coman links.

Yeah, it kind of reads like a broken communication line among Coman, his advisors, and Bayern Munich. Maybe Coman would prefer to stay, but he's established the terms with his advisors so that they could negotiate for him. Whilst he could have told Bayern that he's keen on staying, his advisors might be looking for other teams just in case Bayern come back and say no.So how exactly are his advisors forcing him not to sign the new contract?

I heard from Maldini three days ago, who called me. We spoke about the team and I told him I want to concentrate on the Euros. They have the first responsibility, but I will always speak with great respect both with him and with Massara.

That absolutely will not happen. Trippier is not a priority signing. Just like with Reguillon/Telles last summer we will move on if the terms don't match what we want."Manchester United have completed the signing of Kieran Tripper from Atheltico Madrid on deadline day, for a price of €40 million"
Most predictable headline of the summer.
The thing though is his ball-carrying stats are almost all in the effing 10, 20 and 30 percentiles, ie, really, really bad. Except for carries into the oppo box (68 percentile). Interestingly, also very high on Touches in oppo penalty area. From his stats, he looks like someone who tackles and blocks at one end, and is involved on the ball in and around the oppo penalty area, but not too much involved in between. Sounds plausible that we might think a different role would bring out different things. It's got to be something, at that price! We've watched him for years and at Rayo, I think he played deeper. My guess is we think we could put him in a role that suits his strengths better. I've always thought he was more of a ball carrier, similar to how Scott has, but better.
