We can't sell seasoned professional internationals for 20m and Liverpool are able to get 20m for a young injury prone lad from Scotland.

You have to hand it to that lot. They know how to con a great deal for themselves

I didn't really get this move at the time. Seems like there had to be a coach out there with a clearer tactical approach that would fit the Prem available, like Iraola's pressing has. Lopetegui's record is fine, but they were in a decent position to hire a young, exciting manager and be very unlikely to go down even if it didn't work, and they wasted a season.
 
I’m baffled by Chelsea’s PSR situation- surely they can’t be compliant after all their spending. Have to think they will be crystallising more loses there if they sell Nkunku/Dewsbury Hall/Chukwuemeka, they paid big fees for all

He was given a fair chance to improve at Fulham, without the drama of being at United, he has the experience and track record at Fulham to justify why a club would pay 20m for him, with us he never showed it, either with the club or when on loan.

Good one to avoid. He's almost 23 years old and he's had less than 400 mins in the PL with 0 goals or assists. His best Championship season is a 12 goal and 6 assist (last season) for Hull. His previous best season was 4 goals and 1 assist. I know he was rated fairly high at Villas academy but he's not a young lad anymore. His numbers are highly underwhelming. He wouldn't help improve your club at all.

Aye, you're gambling a lot on potential. We do need a RW to come in which I know he's played before but he's underwhelmed for Villa this season and as you say, he's only had one good season.
