Such a weird cycle of transfers this, came in with huge reputation, played pre season and got shipped on loan before being sold without being given a chance. Guessing he flopped on loan last season, but then why would they take up the option?

I dont know how he did at Brighton but he was very good at Strasbourg, worked really well alongside Santos in their double pivot and impressed in high profile wins against PSG and Lyon. Not surprised at all they're picking up the option at that price he's a steal.

Just checked all the games he ever played for Brighton. The list of opponents is a killer,

United, Chelsea, Liverpool, City, Villa & Bournemouth in the PL plus Wolves in the cup with only 2 90s.

Never really given a chance there so be interesting what happens if he keeps performing well at Strasbourg.

If we were in a better position as a club right now, then I would want us to pick up Veiga. Young player with good potential, physically strong, good left foot, very versatile as he can play LCB, LB, DM, and LWB, and is good on the ball as well as having an excellent cross field switch of play pass. Would be pretty affordable. He's the right profile of player for the squad, I would love him in to replace Martinez for instance, as I think his versatility and physical attributes would make him a great squad player for us, who could compete for a first team spot. One doesn't always have to buy a starter, sometimes you have to build a decent squad around your core first XI. But we have so much to do on the starting XI, that this isn't something we can dedicate resources to.

Potentially if Chelsea came in for Garnacho, I would consider including him in the deal. But we probably need the "pure" profit from the sale.

Why Bayern aren’t in for Garnacho? So many clubs need a left winger and not one firm interest in him. Is he not rated that highly outside or everyone has decided, let’s not give money to united? It’s difficult to believe that Garnacho has prioritised only to stay in the PL no matter what.

Everything I've seen of Turner tells me he's absolutely fecking crap. And yet he's so easy to sell, apparently.
The initial transfer was one of the many shady deals between Textor and Marinakis but with the club relegated and Textor gone I'd have thought they'd get out of it because it makes absolutely no sense. Why spend €8M when you're broke and need funds to stay in Ligue 1, especially on a mild GK when you have 5 senior GKs on the team, including 2 who are starter material...

Official: Brentford sign Antoni Milambo from Feyenoord on a 5+1-year contract

Agreement between Bafodé Diakité et Bournemouth.

Now Bournemouth needs to agree with Lille. Rumours say Lille are expecting €40M.
I hope this gets done so they stop going after Zézé.

Sunderland and Bournemouth are even splashing the cash. Every excuse in the book has been thrown out over the past 7–8 years regarding how we approach the transfer market. Yet the same issues arise every summer. We are exceedingly slow to make moves or close deals. After dithering for weeks or even months, we shift to Plan B and panic buy.

On top of that, we rarely offload players. By the end of the window, we loan them out and still end up covering part of their wages. Meanwhile, Liverpool, City, and Chelsea have all made big moves. Arsenal already had a strong squad and have added smart pieces.

We are miles off it — both on and off the pitch.

I know I’ll be lambasted for this post or told to be patient, but it feels like we walk slowly toward our demise every single summer.

How can we sell anyone if no one will pay their wages and the players aren't willing to take a pay cut. It's why Ineos haven't put anyone on Bruno level wages since coming in.
