The only injury prone keeper in the world? He's also very suspect at goalkeeping, so surprised we aren't in for him.
Should surely be a limit on the amount of players a club can have on the books. Multi-club ownership is also a farce.
First time I heard he's suspect. Everyone I've spoken to says he's a very good keeper but hurt a lot

He's way overhyped. Expecting more Onana-like performances if he moves to the PL.
Also a limit on how many players you can buy or sell in one season. They are using players as assets to sell basically. Most of these random Brazilians and young players they have bought will never play for the club and just be sold off to generate revenue.

I'd take Kepa over Onana all day long. For 5m, that's an absurdly good deal.

I am sure we would take him for 10m euros in a split second, probably just too preoccupied with other transfers first and looking at higher quality keepers as well. Leverkusen acted quickly on this one.
So is Ter Stegen available then, does it make sense to make a move for him? or did he had a bad season for some reason? Or is it just a cheap punt to add competition and future no1 for Barca?
Ter Stegen himself has to continuously remind everyone that he wants to stay and continue on with Barcelona, but this transfer, combined with Barcelona keeping Szczesny, is a sign that they may look to move on from Ter Stegen. They probably don't want to deal with his injury proneness anymore.
Let's chase another player Barca wants to get rid off that repeats at every given opportunity that they want to stay

What a joke. If people know you have money then they'll ask for more of it. They shouldn't have thrown so much around so quickly to get Newcastle to where they are now.
It could also just be that clubs want to feel like they're getting what they feel the player is worth to them. Reeks of entitlement from the journalist/club.
I mean there's that too, obviously.
It does feel like Newcastle are suffering from a bit of whiplash after going from being one of those clubs who would complain about being lowballed for their important players, or having their heads turned by bigger wages somewhere else, to being the club that has to overpay somewhat to get the best players to take them forward.
