Transfer Tweets - England/Scotland - 2025/26

We should have been all over this but common sense, cheap and easy transfers isn’t something we do. The fact he’s going for the same we paid for that Turkish fraud after the season he’s had, says it all.
Never thought I’d see the day that we’re complaining about not signing Kepa

With Sancho sent packing and Mudryk completely AWOL due to his positive drugs test, the LW is a gaping hole for us. I'd have hoped we'd get Rodrygo. A great ready made star who can make a difference immediately. But it seems like Clearlake are addicted to these young and relatively unproven players.

Very annoying. Gittens has bundles of talent and ability but is yet another project player that needs serious development. That were still signing players like this is kind of maddening.

Rodrygo would probably demand a fee of €90m+. I know you guys shit money, but still…

I'd hoped with CL secured, they'd change their MO a bit. But oh well.

And some beefy wages, which Chelsea don't seem too keen to give out these days.
I‘d love Rodrygo at Bayern as well. There’s a hole at LW that he‘d fit nicely.
There’s are rumors about Nico and Leao but Rodrygo doesn’t seem to be on the market.

He could have been a shrewd signing, yes. As you said, we just don’t take good opportunities

We should be all over this for that price.

The way Brighton identify and develop players, this kid will probably have a £100m price on his head in a couple of years. For them to spend that much on a player they must think he’s a really serious talent.

Is it really a gaping hole? Don't you already have Quenda, Madueke, Neto, Estevao and George for the wide positions? Maybe one or two get sent on loan but it just feels like stockpiling.

It doesn't get spoken about nearly enough how disastrous that Grealish to City deal really was. £100m and £300k a week. I honestly think that might be worse than any of the business we've done in the last few years.

Gets overlooked because of their relative success since he signed. But he's at least as big a flop as Antony.

He was an important in that treble winning season if I remember correctly. I would call that a success.

Quenda doesn't arrive until 2026. Madueke has been shifted to the left and he's a good option there. Neto can rotate out there too. Estevao is a RW. George is the only actual LW left.

Sancho played 41 games this season. Mudryk is suspended until further notice. That has to replaced. My guess is Estevao and Neto RW, Madueke and Gittens LW while George goes on loan. I think he needs to keep playing regular football to keep developing.

Official: Spurs trigger Ben Davies' contract extension option , keeping him at the club until 2026

Whichever promoted team offers him a contract is nailed on to go down. Not just because he cant stay fit for any prolonged period anymore, he has also lost that explosiveness in past couple years. Move abroad to a less intense division would make more sense for him but a Mainz sized club cant pay as much as he will be looking for.
