Transfer Tweets - England/Scotland - 2025/26

Whichever promoted team offers him a contract is nailed on to go down. Not just because he cant stay fit for any prolonged period anymore, he has also lost that explosiveness in past couple years. Move abroad to a less intense division would make more sense for him but a Mainz sized club cant pay as much as he will be looking for.
United links incoming

That's a bargain for a player as talented as he is. Then again, for a player who Lyon have kept around despite his wishes to leave earlier, I guess it's no surprise that they're letting him go for a lower fee than they can potentially get.

Official: Tariq Lamptey extends his current contract with Brighton by one year

Has he ever played for them?
He made only two appearances for them throughout his time with City: once in the CL in 2022 against Sporting as a sub, and once in the PL in 2021 against Newcastle as a starter.

Matt O'Riley can't get a game in midfield and Brighton are still adding this guy? I used to like Brighton for their astute recruiting but they've turned Chelsea since they hired that hipster as Coach and piss me off these days

Tier 2:

Bayern Munich also have Nico Williams, Mitoma, Leão, and Gakpo in their shortlist.

Official: Man. City sign Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolves

Brighton have been interested in Ounahi for several years now, and they're also open to selling Matt O'Riley. It makes sense that they're looking at him. Ounahi can also play as a wide midfielder and #10, whilst Matt O'Riley is a more central player.

Angers is getting €11.5M from that Aït-Nouri deal, that's 25% of their budget, nice.

I thought Jacobs was banned.

Slight amendments were made, actually told he wasn't formally or officially banned. Only verbal discussions around banning.
 yes. I/we will need to figure out how to make an announcement but moving forward in player threads we will only be allowing tier 1 sources as lower tiers like Jacobs can lead to poor discourse.

That would be progress if it holds up. Repeatedly see pages and pages of discussion based on shite clickbait tweets in the transfer forum. Completely pointless. Nothing new but I guess it gets more annoying the older I get.

Source (Tier 3):

The Premier League is competing with OM for Mathis Abline, Leeds want Beto (Everton), Aston Villa have to sell: Saudi Arabia are interested in Leon Bailey and Newcastle want to try [for] Jacob Ramsey.

Sources (Tier 2):

PSG are still negotiating for Ukrainian central defender Illia Zabarnyi. The deal is complicated because Bournemouth do not want to sell their player and are demanding €75 million.
  • There is room for negotiation, but the positions are too far apart at the moment.
  • The first Parisian bid [as] revealed by RMC Sport is below the €50 million mark.
  • This evening, the chances of seeing the Ukrainian with Paris Saint-Germain for the Club World Cup are virtually nil. Negotiations will continue and could be concluded this summer.
Like Bournemouth, PSG are not in a hurry.

Tier 2:

Liverpool are still in contention as Jota, Núñez, and Chiesa are all for sale.

Source (Tier 3):

€20M for Abline they have to be joking. OM already mocked us by making a €15M offer a few weeks ago. We broke our transfer feer record by bringing him for €12M last summer, aint no way we let him leave for 20 (but we have the worst president in world football so we never know).

Were Utd not prevented from buying a player from Nice last year because they were also owned by Ratcliffe? How can Chelsea buy from Strasbourg?

The sticking point in that situation was United and Nice being in the Europa League together.
