Very interested to see him move into our "group" (eugh) of clubs. I was actually hoping he was a name we'd be looking at to replace Bayindir as a realistic challenger to Onana when I saw he was available for 10m euros but seemingly he's gone for even less.
He's really underrated, has been one of the best keepers in L1 since he has started in Reims. He's one of the most well rounded keepers in the league, he's good at every aspect of goalkeeping from shot-stopping to his passing.
As a french guy I'm upset that Deschamps never called him and he recently decided to represent Senegal instead, we could use a backup like him.
That's a shock. I thought he did well enough to continue playing for Atalanta, but I guess the money's hard to turn down for both Atalanta and the player.
I just checked his age he's 26, I thought he was younger. He hasnt earned a lot so far in his career and I havent read any serious rumour about him since the season ended. He only played one year at Genoa and one at Atalanta since he came to Europe and has probably "only" earned a couple millions after taxes in his career. Hard to turn down a deal that could net you tens of millions and secure your financial future. He could break his leg or tear his ACL tomorrow and lose most of his earning power.
