Tier 2:

  • Both the club and player are in agreement over a January loan move.
  • United want to loan him out to a League One club if possible.

Just paraphrasing Ducker (I think) - do elaborate. Whats the truth then?

United are in exactly the same boat as Arsenal, Chelsea, City etc. There’s nothing new here.

As already mentioned the debt is limiting somewhat but any new owner will either clear it or reduce it heavily so they’ll be even more wriggle room.

Essentially it’s all sensationalism

but thats just the debt itself, no?

Isnt it the commercial revenue and the ins and outs that decides what amount you can use according to FFP? If debt itself was a factor it would make sense that we wouldnt be able to buy the whole Glazer-regime, but thats never been the case

No

Tier 1:

He'll have some extra competition in the midfield as Forest Green just signed former United academy product Charlie McCann from Rangers.

Tier 1 David Raya news:

Watch out for this.

David Raya does not renew. The Spanish goalkeeper has rejected ANOTHER proposal from Brentford.
  • His contract expires in 2024.
  • Most likely scenario: sale in the summer.
  • Big-6 interest: contacts with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Rough translation:

Massive shame that we can't afford Osimhen as he would be my number one pick for the striker position. Hopefully we don't settle on someone not up to the task for such a vital area.

by who? Check the FFP thread, it does seem to make sense. And no we might not be that different, but we’re not in a great state.

Chelsea are in worse shape by all accounts.

I simply don’t see the dramatics. It’s obvious we need to sell and trim the squad to spend. It’s also obvious new owners will come in with new sponsors and to reduce our debts.

United are no worse off than anyone else, actually better off the others. Especially given we are removing the glazers.

its not a given fact though - many factors that you count in is yet to be fulfilled - selling 5-6 players, clearing the debt, getting new sponsors that have more value than the current deal. So your confidence in replying this as debunked and not true seems quite over the top. Unless you have a magic crystal ball that can tell who will own us and how they will manage things.

On top of that, there’s still half a season to go and we need top 4 to be able to spend. An injury for Rashford tomorrow and everything might not be so certain neither.

What is this weird idea that we are in trouble in tens of FFP??

Have I missed something important. There is no way we are close to failing the FFP regulations when city, Chelsea and even Liverpool and Arsenal to a lesser extent are spending like we are.

We can't afford with the current ownership situation

Because one report came out weeks ago that we could one afford one major signing if we didn’t get CL football. Just the one.with XL football we would be ok
If we missed out we would need to sell to buy.
I think it was from Ducker.
Since then everybody combined the two and ran with it

Well so far we are looking in good shape to get back into the Champions League next season

Oh. Right. So a sensationalist news report that everyone has swallowed as being true!

Right. As you were then.

Not sure what the issue is then. The squad still has its fair share is deadwood so we could still do with a clear out anyway.

There’s plenty of people to sell. It’ll look as if we have to sell to buy but we’re a year late selling these because Ten Hag wanted to see what he had in his squad before showing players the door.
AWB will go as well and Sancho would be an outside bet (sadly)
