On the flip side you look at Hojlund and Zirkzee and probably back yourself to come here and become the starting striker immediately. Not as clear a path at Chelsea, I would think
Agreed, especially if we can keep Amad fit for a full season.Exactly, any striker would look at the strikers and think they're poor and he is better. A top striker would know how their own ability shapes a great deal of the chances they get, Delap would never in a million years look at Hojlund's performance as indicative of his own at United unless he just doesn't rate himself as a player. He would also look at Bruno Fernandes as one of the consistently high chance creators in European football, the 'no service' narrative is nonsense.

Those numbers are impressive. He is obviously a good player, and he reminds me of Captain Bruno a bit in that you can see yourself loathing him if played for anyone else. This Cunha signing is interesting. No strong opinions but it may be helpful to anchor with useful comparisons.

He’s a support striker or whatever you want to call it. He would add goals and service to the main CFThose numbers are impressive. He is obviously a good player, and he reminds me of Captain Bruno a bit in that you can see yourself loathing him if played for anyone else.
And with that comparison, am I wrong to question if he would fit as a lead-the-line striker? I see him more as a 9.5 but heavily leaning towards a number ten. He seems to like dropping deep, no?
Seems like he is viewed as a 10 who can score and create, his numbers in the PL are good. Those numbers are impressive. He is obviously a good player, and he reminds me of Captain Bruno a bit in that you can see yourself loathing him if played for anyone else.

Yeah he's the profile Amorim wants out of Garnacho and Rashford. He's more technical than they're can dribble centrally and plays with his head up. Will also run behind defenses and score. He’s a support striker or whatever you want to call it. He would add goals and service to the main CF
We're after DelapWouldn’t be against this. It’s a shame but he’s too affected by the pressure here. I think Zirkzee will be a much better player.
Still need a proper striker, so although I rate Cunha not sure he’s the player we should be prioritising?
MehWe're after Delap
Agreed. As the main man, not good enough. With someone else? Sure.
Would you not rather cuhna and delap rather than 1 expensive striker?Agreed. As the main man, not good enough. With someone else? Sure.
Ideally we get the expensive striker and Cunha, however unlike City and Chelsea we have a budgetWould you not rather cuhna and delap rather than 1 expensive striker?
I think it’s possible if we sell Garnacho and raise at least 50m for him. Plus sancho and rashford sales. Should be realistic to get Cunha plus Gyokeres/Osimhen. But we still need a RWB aswell as potentially another CBIdeally we get the expensive striker and Cunha, however unlike City and Chelsea we have a budget
Yeah not forgetting midfielder tooI think it’s possible if we sell Garnacho and raise at least 50m for him. Plus sancho and rashford sales. Should be realistic to get Cunha plus Gyokeres/Osimhen. But we still need a RWB aswell as potentially another CB
Where would you put that on the list of priorities?Yeah not forgetting midfielder too
Between Striker and RWBWhere would you put that on the list of priorities?
I’d personally go ST, AM, RWB then CM.Between Striker and RWB
STI’d personally go ST, AM, RWB then CM.
Who are your targets for each position?I’d personally go ST, AM, RWB then CM.
Gyokeres/osimhen. Cunha/Dibling. Frimpong/Fernandes. Not really seen us linked with any CM but we definitely need to target a really good passer and someone who can set the tempo, break the lines.Who are your targets for each position?

I'd prefer a top number 9 and a cheaper 10. However, I understand that top number 9's are quite limited. It seems to me that we've looked at it and thought that we can't get Osimhen or Gyökeres, so we'll get a cheap 9 and try to balance it out with a prolific 10.Would you not rather cuhna and delap rather than 1 expensive striker?

I'd rather go for broke with a ST, prolific 10s aren't guarantees and we already have that with Bruno. I'd rather focus on a ST, CM, and a GK this summer. I don't think our defense will ever trust Onana completely. I don't like Bruno as a deep playmaker I think we still lose physicality and we're not utilizing Bruno to the best of his abilitiesYeah definitely looks that way
First time I seen him was at athletico Madrid where he was a powerful runner then, but ridiculed for his finishing. That’s when they were playing him as a 9.First time I saw Cunha playing was when he ran at UTD in the first 5 mins at OT playing for Wolves. Absolutely frightening. Ran us ragged all night. He's real quality. As for the temperment....as a UTD player he'll be targeted. That'll need sorting and should be reflected in the price.
GK and ST the two main priorities for me. Then try and deepen our options in midfield and defence
What would a CM do when the goalie will allow every limp kick into the goal?As much as I want Onana gone - a cm is a higher priority. Striker, CM, Gk - in that order

Getting rid of Rashford (40m), Sancho (25m) and Anthony (25m), freeing up about 700k a week and bringing in Delap (30m) and Cunha (62.5m) for their release clauses would be decent business.
