Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

That can't be an official tweet from Romano? Pretty sure he has Cunha in our away shirt for next season in the photo, which hasn't even been announced

Why would you think it could be an official tweet from Romano?

It's not even a retweet. The account is just quoting something Romano said in their own tweet.

That depends on what happens with Zirkzee and Højlund

Zirkzee is someone I want to see stay. Exciting player with potential to become a top player. I believe he will stay.

Højlund, I do like him, but I think he might be sold if we get more than one striker. Based on this season, no one can blame us for doing so. That said, he might find his feet and start producing goals.

If you make a youtube video showing only Onana's distribution and supersaves - he will look like a £60 million keeper - if you make one showing his mistakes, he will look like he is on a free to a team League 2

And if you show his full games from his entire time here, he will look like a league 1 keeper.

When it comes to signing young players over the last 4-5 years, our trackrecord has been superb.....and when you think about Garnacho, Fletchers, Ennis, Kone, Obi, Heaven. Scanlon, Biancheri to name some, there is reason to be hopeful about this signing :)

Not that I disagree, to play devil's advocate at the moment only one of those has made it as a first team regular (Garnacho).

The likes of Obi and Heaven have only played a few minutes and it's too early to tell where they will fit in long term.

That being said, I think at least a couple from that list will make it here.

True - but 2 have made their debuts for the first team as you say - and one is a full international for Gibraltar. Of course they wont all make it - but to have signed about 10 players who actually have a decent chance of playing in the P.L is a clear indication that we have done a lot right in that department

Yea realistically probably only 1 or 2 of Obi, Heaven, Kone, Fletcher's, Scanlon etc will be here in a few years but even that is pretty good going.

Surely we aren’t claiming this as anything to boast about haha

I think a Tah, De Ligjt and Yoro back 3 would be pretty good. heaven and Maguire as cover.

Wingbacks would be mazroui, frimpong. Dorgu and Dalot as cover.

We're not signing another wing back this summer as much as I'd love us to. Too many holes elsewhere it seems like the club are prioritising.

This system without incredible wingbacks looks shite, so I certainly hope you’re wrong or that at the very least, Amorim commits to playing Amad there.
With the rumours about Cunha and signing another CM I'm assuming the plan is to get Amad at RWB eventually. Sure we'll need to rotate and everyone will get games, but Bruno and Cunha will be the main 10s so Amad should get a lot of time at RWB with Garnacho (possibly departing?) Mainoo, Zirkzee, Mount all as other options at 10 and only Dalot at RWB really.

Would Tah be the forward pressing cb we miss, especially when Martinez, with his forward passing ability, is injured? I wonder, would Branthwaite also be suitable there, could see the summer involve interest in filling that role.
