Who wouldn't you consider underwhelming and please make the names remotely realistic

Yep said this elsewhere but sell Bruno (80m), commit to the rebuild. Rashford, Hojlund, Sancho out (60m), Garna (40-50m). 180m in fees. 100m kitty per reports. Let's call it 275m total. I feel I'm under estimating how much we can raise here, it'll probably be 15-20m more.

Looking for PL proven players with release clauses, not long on contracts, free transfers and so on.

Cunha (62.5), Delap / Mateta (40), Mbuemo (60), 2x midfielders (100)

Maybe throw in some loans + options / obligations to buy for squad depth. But really what do we need the depth for without Europe? Just sign some promising kids like Heaven and Obi.

Mids I don't know enough but I'd just consult with statsbomb or some good data company and get whoever they say. This is where a guy like Ralf and his network would be incredibly useful. I don't know if Vivell has that.

Someone that James Roades (yes I know) thinks could be a good signing is that Stach, other ideas are Hackney, Ederson, Stiller or that Larsson guy. I feel like Wharton is probably not going to move until next summer, however doubt they would sell for much less than £80m.

A few might go on tour but in general our youngsters are very hyped up. Heaven and Obi are real talents but can't see anyone else getting in our squad next season. Amass might have some chance depending on injuries.
This crop are known to be particularly good though (or at least potentially Pogba, Morrison, Lingard generation equals, for what it's worth; often forgotten, but RM was on the verge of the England squad before big Sam messed him around and really started the tailspin). Even the next strong gen. after that had Elanga, who'd get in the squad now easily, and Greenwood (likewise, if it wasn't for 'other reasons'), along with a couple of very decent defenders. Physicality and temperament are the main barriers, presuming that Amorim doesn't just get spooked by the pressure and not play any more youngsters. Considering our financial straits, developing the more technically and physically 'ready' youngsters for squad places, ala Barcelona in the wake of their own black hole, makes sense, even if I'm not claiming Moorhouse is suddenly Gavi, Thwaites Pedri etc.

That would be the scouting department that is subject to a bunch of redundancies? I do appreciate your optimism, however!
The scouting department is (or was) actually pretty unwieldly, if anything; informational overload. It was the awful dithering at exec level combined with manager whims, or terrible sales jobs like the pitch to Jude Bellingham, that saw us miss out on players, not those players being overlooked by scouts. You'll find similar stories at other clubs, but ours seem slightly more extreme. The most recent 'young' buys are pretty promising, we've also got one of the Red Bull Group's (formerly) more renowned talent-acquisition guys in Vivelli.

Yeah Bellingham cock up still really stings, not forgetting Utd not listening to Ole on Haaland too. Then a couple of years later we had Ralf recommending players like Diaz, Alvarez and Fernandez

Who would take him for 60m?
For 50-60m?
Chelsea and Napoli are both firmly interested but we will see on the offers. Even if he went for 50m eur we can pay a bit more on the difference and get a PL proven 10 through the door

There is a twitter outage. Thats why the tweets are not showing up. Not for me anyhow.

He’s exactly the profile of player we should be targeting, epl experience, fast/athletic and also technically strong. Last year of contract too. So naturally we won’t be in for him.

He isn't in the last year of his deal though as they have a +1 option.

EXCLUSIVE: Ruben Amorim informs Manchester United squad he will be in charge next season + tells Alejandro Garnacho to find new club. Happened during meeting between Portuguese head coach & #MUFC players at Carrington training base today.

C'mon, I love Bruno as much as any United fan, but 100 million? I'll carry him to Saudi on my back for that.
Mental if we don't do it.
We won’t be able to replace him this season, Saudi will come back next year for the same value. We can win a cup and become a top 6 team by playing one game a week and making smart transfers.

I believe Inzaghi might be available and should Ruben not have 15/16 points from first 8 PL games, the club should make the obvious change who could improve this squad immeasurably and make us highly competitive again.

It’s probably really important to change a big part of the first team this summer. It needs to feel like a new team so they can shake off the baggage of last season.

Tier 2:

Ben Jacobs already downplayed Chelsea's interest, so feel free to ignore that part, but United are also monitoring the player's situation at this time for a potentially good opportunity.

If they are taking about a reset and fresh start, now is the time to do it. No European football and a manager who has new ideas. They given him a vote of confidence so back him if it means shipping out 90% of the first team and starting over. Going into next season with 3 new players and most of the current squad isn’t going cut it and will show the lack of competence at the top.
