Amorim said it in front of the whole squad. You don't know who the source is.
I’d be thinking he was told on his own, it would be very unprofessional if he told a squad of 30 in a dressing room that lads I’m staying and Garnacho you can find a new club

So doubt Amorim has put it out there, so is it Garnacho who has let someone know what has been said.
Sources with knowledge of the matter, speaking anonymously to protect relationships, indicate Amorim addressed players at the club’s Carrington training ground on Saturday to inform them of his own plans and of those for Garnacho.

Manchester United treat dressing room matters as private and declined to comment.

So yeah, probably.

Have decided? As in there was a possibility that this wasn’t happening?
We're all traumatised from previous examples of "protecting the value" with unnecessary long contract extensions, so there was always the fear!

But even United couldn't extend an 8 year stay!

Did you not see his aggression on the bench in the final, definitely deserved an extra year for that! Joking of course.

Feels like Lindelof has been here for 20+ years. Had such high hopes for Garnacho but his attitude has been a major problem for a while now. Also has finishing seems to have gotten worse.

Hojlund needs to go. Said he was the wrong choice at the time. I’d love to never see Onana play for us again but not sure why anyone would buy him.

Selling Bruno? May aswell relegate us now because we aren’t signing anybody near his quality for whatever we sell him for.

Selling Bruno is a tough one as I love the guy.

Having said that, if the offer is legitimately £100m it's too good to turn down for a player that will be 31 soon after the start of next season - who knows when he will start to decline.

Another thing that I've thought for a while is that every move we do HAS to go through him. It's a case of give the ball to Bruno and see what he can do wich I think other teams pick up on. Maybe that's because our other players are shit but maybe they wouldn't be as shit if we didn't always rely on that one player to starts moves or be the one to cross the ball or get it into the box. Either that or signing a couple of decent quality £50m players could make us play better as a team.

But still, it makes me sick to think of him leaving as he's one of the players I actually like. If he does leave it's a crying shame it couldn't be done before tomorrow's so we could give him a proper send off.

I would be very cautious of assuming other members of our existing squad will step up if Bruno goes

I've seen us play without Bruno. And it much worse that the level we are on now.
For the odd game, yeah.

But if we act smartly in the transfer window (bit of a stretch I know) and sign athletic, quick, attacking players it could actually improve our team instead of relying one the one player.

If I offered the attacking players from Villa, Newcastle, Forest etc at the start of the season over Bruno most would likely have said no, including myself to be fair. With Bruno we can be unbelievably one dimensional. Opposing teams know exactly where the attack will start and the route to goal has been pretty predictable.

Bring in Cunha, a decent midfielder to play alongside Casemiro/Ugarte and CF and I think we could look decent. Ish. Maybe.

Or maybe we'll be shit.

We need players with speed. We have a very slow attack. Speed and dribbling. Them 2 are vital in attack and helps you get into goalscoring opportunities

Well the reporting very strongly indicates he said it in front of everyone.

Would love to add Mbeumo to Mateta/Gyokeres and CM, however only remotely possible with significant sales

For CM I would be bold and sign 2 like Ederson and Richard Rios or Stiller

Not unless you pay close to 100m which would be too much
Ideally we should be looking to add 2 CM's (if we sell Bruno) 2 number 10's and a striker, however still leaves an issue with GK and RWB. Something will have to be pushed back until next summer because not signing 7 in one window that's for certain.

Amad at RWB

OK I will pick 5

GK
CM
L10 & R10
ST
Make it 6 and add another CM i think its doable if we get our sales done. If Bruno leaves prob then want a marquee signing as well

The next signing should 100% be rayan Cherki as our RAM.
Cunha/Cherki + gk + cm + cf and we will be fine imho. Won’t be ideal but it should get us back challenging for cl spots.

Cherki will also help alleviate the creative burden that Bruno would leave with his departure and fits into our system perfectly

Can’t have him and Cunha in the same team in my opinion, neither are know for their hard running.

If Bruno leaves then we need a consistent player that will rack up goals and assist because he’s the only one every season capable of getting double digits for goals and assists.
