He ain’t going to no farmers league

He’s not stupid
Plenty of people have been defending the choices of players like Osimhen if they opt for the money and a move to Saudi Arabia - rather than focus on the farmers league, human rights angle.

So I'd say players like Bruno should be granted the same attitude, especially now he's in his 30s. He wouldn't be 'stupid' if he fails to resist such a huge contract offer.

There’s multiple reasons why I think Bruno would be stupid to move
You’ve mentioned some (farmers/human rights)

He’s still young & if his attitude is right United will be back in the cl this time next year
The guys who went to Saudi have pissed away all prestige & generally all ambition
I can understand older guys or guys from more poorer backgrounds, but Bruno is neither, and he’ll surely stay at United

Bruno premier league in 24/25 - 8 goals 11 assists v 15 goals 6 assists. I don't think he does.
Bruno scored or created 182 goals and assists in the last 6 seasons. Averaging 30 goals and assists each season.

Cunha only created 82 goals and assists in the same period.

This season he was involved in 23 goals and assists. He still need to improve on his best season by 50% to match Bruno's average output in the last 6 seasons.

I’m not disputing that, I just think it’s a massive risk to sell him and think we need more than Cunha to replace him. I’m all for signing Cunha by the way, very good player I just think we need someone like Mbuemo in as well. However if we do sell we need to spend the money very wisely, if we lose Bruno and proceed to piss the money up the wall then we could be in serious trouble next season.
Well, obviously.
But if we're working on the basis that the new regime will prove as ineffective in the transfer market then we were previously then we're already in serious trouble as we already need plenty of additions for the new season anyway.

We need to address the attacking areas and CM areas anyway - as we're looking to buy #10s and a #9 that score and create more, and our CM, with or without Bruno as one of the two, gets overrun far too easily. Selling Bruno (as well as the unwanted players) gives us the extra budget to get players in those positions that could give the team a more balanced feel - more goal contributions from players in those top three positions, and a two man CM that controls games better.

Sometimes, taking a player out despite good individual stats (such as when we sold Van Nistelrooy) helps the balance of a team and helps make the whole better than the sum of it's parts, rather than worse. If you just look at the individual figures of the player leaving then it seems a strange call and tough to replace, but collectively it could help get a better balanced team.

now that its feeling serious i don't want us to sell anymore

head was saying take the money but heart has taken over now, and my heads always wrong anyway

don't go bruno stay and help shepherd in this new era

Does he want to live in Saudi?
Does he want his family to live there?
All I know is Cancelo's missus always has her knockers out on social media, which makes me think they aren't in Saudi and he plays for Al hilal. I think a lot of them are in Bahrain and fly in/drive over the bridge.

There is clearly multiple choices after Delap and they’re deciding which one to go for
Still there was always a good chance we wouldn't get delap and they could have done the what if we don't get him thinking already

Cunha is about to enter his prime and he’s improving. Can we say the same for Bruno?
Regardless of what he’s done over the last 6 seasons, I want the club to have a better keeper, midfield and attacking front line. If it takes the sale of Bruno to attain that, then I’m happy.

I imagine they’re waiting on the Bruno decision first and foremost.
Why? I don't think we need to sell Bruno to make Gyokeres happen. It's a matter of convincing the player which probably becomes even harder when you sell your best player.

At this point I just hope them to make a thoughtful decision. If Bruno leaves, we would need at least a midfielder and a right side 10 at the level of Cunha. Either choice would be alright to me, but I'd rather see Bruno winning more trophies for us.

You’d think we already planned for a scenario where Delap chooses Chelsea and know who the alternative target is
Exactly and I know there is no Europe next season but surely they planned for that and held some talks, they knew that was likely.
It's depressing start seeing how other Premier League Teams seem to be gunning early, looks Liverpool soon have 2-3 signings in place with Kerkez, Frimpong & Wirtz while being linked to others as well

Nothing happening at Utd except Cunha which is nice but only other news really is Bruno out which means we need to replace a hell of lot of goals and get things absolutely right in the transfers coming in

I think it's more likely for Bruno to produce 30 goals and assist next season which is inline with his average output in the last 9 seasons than Cunha to suddenly improve on his best output by 50%.

We paid 80 million euros for Hojlund, and we are about to sell Bruno for 100m. Have no faith in the club that they will make the right transfers with that amount. We have no CL football, the squad is a mess, and every club that we will approach now will ask for more money, since they will know that we have the Bruno money.

If the last sentence is true "Hilal already have budget signed off, as the funds allocated to try and sign Mo Salah have been retained by the club" we might be able to squeeze more than £100m out of them as I think they we planning on bidding circa £150m for Salah.

We can spend that by PSR rules.

We do not have the finances to spend that though and therein lies the problem.

Most experts seem to agree that we can spend close to £100 million even without selling players

So you now compare a 19 year old Cunha in his first seasons in Europe to Bruno who was 24-25 at the time - yeah that seems like a good comparison :)

I was gonna say the same thing. They are at different points in their careers.
