If Bruno's giving a serious consideration to the deal, then it's only because he feels that the offer will be too good for United to refuse. I'd be surprised if he decides to push United to let him go; that'll only weaken United's stance in the negotiations.

Somewhat extended quote (because that Tweet is very likely to be bait):

May I ask why Miguel Delany has never been put on the banned list? I dont think hes ever got anything right.

He was banned in the past, but he (rarely) reports things that get corroborated. I remember one of his reports being corroborated by Romano in the past. I still wouldn't take his reports seriously for the most part, but he's not a BS merchant. Mind you, Nicolò Schira's also a journalist, but he reports so much BS that he's more worthy of the ban list than Delaney, who reports way fewer transfer stories than he used to.

Barça is looking for ways to soften up United (currently they only want a sale). The Catalan club won't pay a transfer fee for him (they would for Díaz).

One option would be a paid transfer with an option to purchase.

It remains to be seen whether United will give in and how much FCB and MR push.

They must think we're a make a wish foundation. About time both Rashford and Barca got a reality check.

An option to purchase leads to them saying “nah” a year later. We’re not your scavenger big. Pay the money or feck off

Don’t want to pay a fee? Well feck off then!

We really need to make it clear that if they don't want to pay, he doesn't go there. Marcus will likely kick up a fuss and refuse to go anywhere else to try to force a deal. We need to stand firm and say that he's getting sold or he's a reserve.

I’d be 100% in favour of holding our ground on this. Even if it means Rashford comes back and sits in the reserves until the winter window.

As I said yesterday. The price is £40m take it or leave it.

When September comes, if he hasn’t moved he can listen to offers for loans but Barcelona are off the table because they’ve had all summer to make a move for him.

He’s not going to want to rot in the reserves come September with a World Cup next year.

We need to put a time limit on them and make it clear to Rashford as well. If you want him pay up or we move on. Their intention will be to get him on loan or next to nothing by dragging it out. I'd rather keep him or loan him to someone else on the final day than be strung along

We should reply to barca mes que un charity, we're more than just a charity

I remember Delaney got caught out once telling a lie because a tier 1 journo secondly later announced the opposite. I wish I could remember where it was from. I'm only mentioning Delaney because his tweets pop up from time to time in player focused transfer threads.

Thanks for the clarification though.

So what do people want, £100m or keep Bruno?
115m to sell and we would be stupid not to. We are skint and in need of a rebuild. Bruno won't be here to see us be good, whether we sell him or not. Best thing he can do for us is help fund the future.

He would be pure profit at this point wouldn't he? It's a very hard offer to turn down but I think if we can use the money to recruit well then we should probably take it.

Then again he's the only reason this season was even remotely enjoyable and I really like him. Very hard decision to make for everyone involved I think

Who would be our captain if he left?

To answer this question shows how regressive him leaving would be.

It would certainly up the ante to have a good summer of new players in…

I’m not positive but I don’t think so.

I think PSR divides cost by contract, but when you renew/refresh contract, the outstanding PSR value is divided by the new contract term.

Eg. Sign a player for £60m in 2020 = £12m/year PSR

Three years in, signs a new five year contract in 2023 and remaining £24m is amortised over new five years.

I think…
