Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2025/26

Anyone else feel that the mid table top talents like Mbuemo, Cunha, Joao Pedro, Semenyo, Kerkez etc all getting snapped up by the bigger clubs will make the league a bit easier next season? Definitely weakening the middle of the table and allowing traditional bigger teams to flourish and pick up more points.
Not really, Those clubs tend to line up more players who can make their mark in the PL.

I thought Wingbacks was the most important position in Amorim's system. Are we happy with just Amad, Dalot and Dorgu as our WB options?
Provided we sign Mbuemo I would say so yes. We also have Mazraoui, Amass and Shaw as WB options on top of those you mentioned.

That's how you survive when you're not a top club, find talent, sell them for a profit, and so on. They might make mistakes when replacing those players but they might also find a gem. Bournemouth already replaced Kerkez with Adrien Truffert for 1/3rd of the Kerkez sale price, Truffert is a France international (only 1 cap but he's been around the group for a while) and I dont think he's much of a downgrade.

Yeah and it just becomes the cycle of the league, so its normal. Maybe for the next couple seasons the top 4 will dominate, but then again the mid-table clubs will find good players when the players of the top clubs become stale.

Hayden Hackney this year and Adam Wharton next summer or in the winter, we need a strong core of homegrown and I would develop Kobbie too, if Amorim doesn’t cut it , we will have very few wingers left for a new coach’s 433 system, so we can’t make the same mistake with midfield players.

I have a feeling Adam Wharton who is a northern lad from Blackburn will want to return North, he’s not getting in the City or Liverpool team and with wages of £35k per week, currently they won’t keep him, if they are not allowed to play in Europa this season then he will be gone by January 1st 2026 for £75m.
Do you think Wharton is better fit than Baleba then?

This thread is not for long winded chats! New
You know you can use the thread that includes only tweets, right? Or better yet, twitter itself?
We keep asking people (who seemingly are ignoring the thread marked posts), to keep it to tweets and very basic number of responses. Unfortunately the thread is being used for general chit chat, long debates etc about players, most of which should be done in the player specific threads. IF people are going to ignore multiple requests then perhaps we need to review the people that come into this forum, like any other forum.

If there is no player specific thread then feel free to use the catch all thread here https://www.redcafe.net/threads/transfer-chat.488290/

The reason I said my quoted message was because the poster was complaining about a lack of tweets in a thread where there is some chatter. (Yet I agree it needs to be kept to a bare minimum before it clogs the thread) While I agree that this specific thread has seemingly over the past several transfer windows has had issues with people talking too much and not taking it to a player specific thread.

If there isn't one I would suggest people make one (but use the search function beforehand to see if there is one already, or keeping an eye on the auto-complete when you make a thread, as the site, helpfully suggests "is this being spoken about already") or use the thread where you quite rightly have pointed people towards a thread.

Bit of a long winded message there mate

This sounds more likely. He had the third highest output of all players similar age with only Yamal and Doue above him, who would both cost the world. Aim should be no less than 60

Yet again, we only seem to be able to do one thing at a time. :nervous:
I think it would be easier to get Gyok in if he knew Mbeumo was there to provide him some service. For him to come without CL football, you've got to believe they want to believe they are joining a team that is building something.

No?

The likes of brenford et al have been selling their best players for years and replacing them with just as good if not better at a lower price. That will continue. It's their business model.

Leverkusen‘s record transfer is something like €28m.
Their record sale was about the same until 5 years ago.

In recent years they've sold a few to the PL for much bigger fees because that's either reflective of the market nowadays, or they're deliberately inflated fees demanded of PL clubs.

About time these leagues started having to pay out fees reflective of either the market nowadays, or the extortionate sums they recoup in PL Tax with their sales.

Yeah exactly it would show some ambition

Brentford and Bournemouth are being stripped for parts. They'll not recover for a couple years i reckon, but theyll bounce back.
