Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2025/26

Sensible. We'll have issues offloading each player for differing reasons but there will eventually be a point at which we will need to reintegrate them at some point if no move is looking likely. As it stands Sancho and Antony look the most likely to leave quickest as there is some credible interest.

Great news. I was worried that having them with the team while trying to get moves would create a very toxic environment.

Manchester United have given Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia permission to return to pre-season training late.

The rest of United’s first-team squad are set to return to Carrington on Monday but, with all five players facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford, they will now only be required to return later in July, sources speaking on the condition of anonymity confirmed to The Athletic.

Guess Rashford isn't coming back 100% on Monday like all those fraud journalist are saying

If this is true it is a mistake IMHO. They need to be made to train on the off chance we don't offload. Of course we don't want them injured but they must be loving the extra few weeks off.

Well we don't need any of them so what's the risk exactly?

If they don't end up sold we'll just put them under a grueling training regime to catch up and prove their willingness. If they don't match up to standards we'll loan them out to keep them away.

I love how proper journalists break the news about United telling that lot not to bother coming back, then within 20 minutes, Romano pipes up with several tweets using that information.

In fairness this is like quitting after already being sacked, United haven't exactly been ambiguous about how they feel about the likes of Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho so it's a positive for the club that they've now stated they want to leave. It doesn't make sense to risk them getting injured if United have made it so clear that they don't want them and the players don't want to be here.

They won't play for us anymore even if they stay so who cares

Just seen a tweet on Reddit from Ben Jacobs saying we’re working on a £5m deal for Ndidi. No idea if legit or not
Would be a brilliant squad addition if we could get him in for that. I've always been a fan of him.

You're not going to Barcelona, Marcus. Get it through your thick skull and have some self-awareness for once. What makes him think that a Barcelona move is even remotely realistic for someone playing the way he has been? It's absolute and utter delusion. He's going to reject realistic offers for the sake of "dream" opportunities that won't be afforded him in anything other than REM sleep!

So our best hope remains: Rashford to Barca, Antony to Betis, Sancho to Juve. Where even are the links with Garnacho?

Well we don’t want the bad eggs back it the box anyway so Rashford, Sancho and Garnacho can take their egos elsewhere to train

If they really want to get a move away they will still keep working on their fitness, in private gym’s or somewhere. They won’t want to turn up unfit at prospective buyers.

Probably not - but I can imagine a lot worse ways to spend money than £5 million on Ndidi - or £9 million which apparently is his release clause

I think it’s great the players want to move on and restart their careers elsewhere and it’s great they have stated their intention to do so.

Now, a few sacrifices must be made to set up the moves they all want, and since they have stated they want to leave, they will have to make it happen.

Says who? Or should I say, how are you determining that?

I don't really rate Mbeumo that highly. Opinions, I guess. At his best Kudus is a better passer, dribbler and physically superior to me, whether he can be arsed is the issue. I just think Mbeumo is a relatively safe signing with a limited ceiling. Happy to be proven wrong obviously.

think kudus looked like he was a bit bored and fed up at west ham. put him on the OT stage and i think hed up his game and could be top class..

Widely reported at €5M net. That's around £180k/week gross, and he'll probably try to negotiate a raise. That's why I said in the Luiz thread that it was too much of a risk because if he flops you have another unwanted player on big wages and multiyear contract who will be impossible to shift.
Yes but kicks that can down the road as he might contribute more to United than Sancho is currently for a period and might be on a slightly lower wage.
