They could have asked Lyon fans or even Ligue 1 followers and they'd have saved the £10M or so they wasted on him. He couldnt take the step from Brest to Lyon so it was hard to envision him succeeding in the PL. And he's the kind of player who consistently pick up minor injuries so he never gets into a rhythm.
