So Leicester have bought a player who cannot play for them, or he returns back to his selling club?
Educated guess is he would return to Sporting for the time being. He is registered as Sporting player on the paper at the moment since the registration with Leicester fell through.
I don't get why clubs like doing last minute deals when they had the entire window to complete their signings.
TBF, Leicester was only forced to buy when Chelsea bought Drinkwater from them. Don't understand why Leicester decided to sell when this deal is not closed, though...

New contract for Perisic.
Not sure if its admirable or ambitionless when a player signs a contract for (probably) significantly lower wages than what he could make at a bigger club.
Considering it was Inter who wouldn't accept due to not agreeing on players value with us, how does him signing the deal reflect in any way his ambition?
If he wanted to move but they wouldn't allow it then that would obviously be a good sign for him, but in general, a player of his age who is coming into his final big money contract of his career, should be aiming for a bigger club (which presumably he was).
I'd agree if he had maybe a year left on his contract, but that's not the case. Also, the only big club even linked to him was us and we couldn't agree on a fee.
Italian league is a joke. Glad the Premier League was sensible enough to deny Renato Sanches' request for #85.

That was Perisic final chance to move to a big club imo. He better hopes the Chinese will improve Inter to return to challenging again.
Certainly hope for his sake the wage increase reflected the price Inter deemed him to be worth.
Nor are they one of today's giants. Their valuation as a club has been sliding downwards for the past 7 years to where they have almost been overtaken by Leicester City.

He´ll sign a new contact, then in January he´ll want to leave, cause City were always his dream and he did not know about their interest.
Because he's going to earn €4.5m a year after tax. Inter just gave him that big contract United maybe would have matched...

I'm not convinced he'll be in the same shape or form after such long absence. Not sure how dedicated he is to keep in form.
Paying 57 million for Costa in his current situation/condition is fecking mental.
